Specification

DESC:FIELD OF THE INEVENTION
[001] The present disclosure generally relates to an automatic PTO actuation system. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to an automatic PTO actuation system in automated manual transmission vehicle and method of manufacturing thereof.
BACKGROUD
[002] In current commercial vehicles, the PTO has been engaged manually by pressing mechanical lever or by pressing switch button. But before doing this operation, driver need to ensure that clutch pedal has been pressed completely and fully and clutch is also fully disengaged. Somehow if driver forget to disengage the clutch, then there is a likely chance to damage of the PTO or gearbox, while PTO engagement. Hence the existing PTO engagement in the commercial vehicle is dependent on skilled of driver and high level of attention by driver while engaging and disengaging the PTO or gearbox
[003] Therefore, there is an unmet need of cost effective, simple, user friendly automatic PTO actuation system in automated manual transmission vehicle to operate the vehicle without operating the PTO or gearbox manually resultant increase the life of the vehicle.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
[004] The present invention solves the aforementioned and other allied problems by the way of providing automatic PTO actuation system in automated manual transmission vehicle and method of manufacturing thereof.
[005] The present subject discloses an automatic PTO actuation system comprising a PTO switch pressed by driver manually to send signal to open the clutch, a signal system to send signal to AMT TCU to send command towards opening the clutch. Upon opening the clutch, TCU send signal on CAN, a solenoid configured in between PTO and TCU to receive the clutch open signal through CAN and allow the air flow inside the PTO to engage and a sensor to send signal on CAN, which has been received by TCU and close the clutch.
[006] The automatic PTO actuation system of present invention is engaged pneumatically, with a full control through CAN signal. The driver needs to press the PTO switch only and rest all operations executed and completed automatically. Here as the driver press the PTO switch button, a signal has been sent to AMT TCU and it send command to open the clutch. After opening the clutch, TCU send signal on CAN. Further a solenoid is placed in between PTO and TCU, which receive the clutch open signal via CAN and allow the air flow inside the PTO to engage. Once the PTO engaged, a sensor send signal on CAN, which has been received by TCU and close the clutch. In this complete process, driver need to press PTO switch only and all other operations will be done automatically. By this way, this is fool proof system, wherein engagement of the PTO without any damage to PTO and gearbox happened.
[007] In one embodiment, all existing MT and AMT commercial vehicles, the automation is done to engage the PTO, but driver has to perform clutch open operation manually by pressing clutch pedal in MT vehicles and by engaging the gear or drive mode in AMT to open the clutch. Somehow in this current procedure, there are chance that driver forget to do this operation, therefore either the system will not engage the PTO and send error message or damage to the PTO if get engaged.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
[008] Aspects of the present disclosure are illustrated by way of example(s), and not by way of limitation, in the accompanying drawings, wherein:
[009] FIG. 1 is a schematic flow of system and operations to engage the PTO
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS
[0010] The present invention belongs to the field of an automatic PTO actuation system. More particularly it relates to an automatic PTO actuation system in automated manual transmission vehicle and method of manufacturing thereof.
[0011] Referring to FIG. 1 illustrated a schematic diagram of a schematic flow of system and operations to engage the PTO. In such system the automatic PTO actuation system of present invention is engaged pneumatically, with a full control through CAN signal.
[0012] Although the present disclosure is described in terms of certain preferred embodiments and examples, other embodiments and examples will be apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art, given the benefit of this disclosure, including embodiments and examples that do not provide all of the benefits and features set forth herein, which are also within the scope of this disclosure.
