Abstract: The Public OverDump Limiter or POD Limiter is an idea to implement an automatic indication system for waste management, in-order to create the social awareness for the people living in the domestic areas. This idea is to be implemented in the garbage bins over the streets. The main objective of this project is to prevent the pollution occurs due to excess garbage dumping .The components specifically used is the minimum of two IR sensors with the microcontroller ATMEGA-8 with the necessary electrical equipments. By using these sensors the over dumping of Garbage waste in bins can be avoided. This POD Limiter reduces man power that required maintaining the street from ruggedness and also freeing from manual maintenance. In order to avoid over dumping, the box holder is placed at the top of the bin so that if the bin is filled, the bin cap automatically closes and the information is given local corporation for fetching as well as disposal .This methodology uses IR sensors at different levels of the bin, so that to measure the quantity of the bin. The controller is used, which senses the levels of the garbage in the bin and does the closing of the inlet cap as well as communicate with . the respective .Hence the external power supply can be given through the renewable form of energy (i.e through solar power).
PUBLIC OVER DUMP LIMITER (POD Limiter)
TECHNICAL FIELD OF INVENTION
The operation is to be performed in POD limiter is by using the ATMEGA- 8 microcontroller .The two sensors are thus placed in the different levels of the bin. when the first sensor senses the garbage bin condition before particular period it will pass the pre-over dump conditioned instruction to the Sanitary or Health maintenance office of that specified area. This can be displayed or either passed as an information to Sanitary, office through a communication medium & displayed in the LCD display.
When the bin is in overloaded condition the second sensor senses the bin and by using the controller the execution of the bin closing will be processed. The bin will automatically close when it tends to reach the over dump condition and also it intimates the users that it is in overloaded condition. The RFID/Smart card should be provided for the people working in the Sanitary offices in order it get opened so that only authorized persons can access it and also to prevent the over dumping by the public by reopening it and the external power supply can be given through the renewable form of energy (i.e through solar power ).
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
The Public Over Dump Limiter or POD Limiter is an idea to implement an automatic indication system for waste management, in-order to create the social awareness for the people living in the domestic areas. This idea is to be implemented in the garbage bins over the streets. The main objective of this project is to prevent the pollution occurs due to excess garbage dumping .The components specifically used is the minimum of two IR sensors with the microcontroller ATMEGA-8 with the necessary electrical equipments. By using these sensors the over dumping of Garbage waste in bins can be avoided: This POD Limiter reduces man power that required maintaining the street from ruggedness and also freeing from manual maintenance. The controller is used, which senses the levels of the garbage in the bin and does the closing of the inlet cap as well as communicate with the respective.
This operation is performed in POD limiter by using the ATMEGA-8 microcontroller.
Two sensors are placed in the bin at different levels. When the first sensor senses the bin's Quantity before particular period of time it will pass the pre-over dump conditioned instruction to the Sanitary or Health maintenance office of that particular area. This can be displayed or either passed as an information to Sanitary office.
When the bin is in overloaded condition the second sensor senses the bin and by using the ATMEGA -8 microcontroller the execution of the bin closing will be processed. The bin will automatically close when it tends to reach the over dump condition and also it intimates the users that it is in overloaded condition. The RFID/Smart card should be provided for the people working in the Sanitary offices in order it get opened so that only authorized persons can access it and also to prevent the over dumping by the public by reopening it and the external power supply can be given through the renewable form of energy (i.e through solar power

COMPONENT SPECIFICATION:
DC MOTOR:
'• ADC motor is a mechanically commutated electric motor powered from direct current
• These are the motors which convert DC signals into rotational motion.
• In robotics applications they are preferred over AC motors as the motor and the complete circuit require same kind of supply i.e. DC supply.
IR SENSOR:
A sensor is a device that measures a physical quantity and converts it into a signal which can be read by an observer or by an instrument
• IR sensor works on the principle of emitting IR rays and receiving the reflected ray by a receiver (Photo Diode).
• IR source (LED) is used in forward bias.
• 7IR Receiver (Photodiode) is used in reverse bias.
ADVANTAGES
The main advantage of this invention is
• The over dumping in the streets can be avoided and maintained with less pollution. •
• The streets maintained free from ruggedness.
• The regular maintenance can be effectively reduced to a periodic maintenance with much sanitation.
• The lesser in cost.
• The lesser complexity in manufacturing.
• The power supply can also given in the renewable source if necessary.
• The sanitary workers can be provided with smart cards for every individual.
WE CLAIM
1. A system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the Waste bin can be separated into sectional halves.
2. A System as, claimed in claim 2 wherein this system uses IR sensor for sensing the level of waste filled in the bin.
3. A system as claimed in claim 3, wherein the first half, the sensor placed facing downwards direction on both sides senses the bin's dump level.
4. A system as claimed in claim 4, wherein
a. The sensed information is sent through the GSM to the Sanitary office.
b. The bin analysis will be done with certain interval of time through sensors .
c. If the sanitary workers cleans the bin within that period ,there is no usage of 2nd sensors at the top.
d. If the workers did not come and clean the bin, the bin cap will be closed and only authorized works can re-access it
5. A system as claimed in claim 5, wherein within that certain period the dumping can be done by the domestic people.
6. A system as claimed in claim 6, wherein when the dumping reaches the level of 2nd most sensor fixed at the top senses ,the box holder kept at the automatically closes the door, it is done through the working of motor.
7. A system as claimed in claim 6, wherein the bin could be only opened by the people working in the sanitary department once after the bin is full.
8. A system as claimed in claim 7,wherein this could be done by the usage of individual/ smart cards for the people working in the sanitary should be provided by the government (hence it is necessary).
9. A system as claimed in claim 8, wherein the RFID shown on the top of the bin to open it when it is filled.
10. A system as claimed in claim 9, wherein RFID is provided to the workers in order to prevent over dumping by the domestic area people.
11. A system as claimed in claim 10, wherein the entire process of working can be done by the usage of Microcontroller with Embedded Technology.
