Pyrotechnic Devices As Trainig Aids
Abstract: The invention relates to a Pyrotechnic device as training aids to simulate various ammunitions such as Grenade-Hand and Rifle, land mine etc. and used for training of military, police and para-military personnel. There is a need for training of military personnel with such device, which is cost effective and safe. Pyrotechnic device, according to this invention, comprises of pyrotechnic based percussion composition followed by delay element of pre-designed delay timing, all housed in a shell which in turn is housed in plastic casing. The plastic casing is fitted with sound and flash producing composition, which simulates audio visual effect of live ammunition. Percussion element is initiated by force imparted onto it by a strike pin to initiate the delay column and after delay interval, sound and flash producing composition bursts, simulating live ammunition.
