“Quick Throughput Recovery During Resumption From Outage Scenarios In A Hspa Network Using Cross Layer Information”
Abstract: The various embodiments of the present invention disclose a method of enabling Downlink (DL) flow control in a High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) network. The method comprises of detecting, by a User Equipment (UE) Radio Link Control (RLC) layer, one or more missing Packet Data Units (PDUs) during an Radio Frequency (RF) outage in a Dual Sim Dual Standby (DSDS) operation, triggering, by the UE RLC layer, generation of a status PDU indicating the one or more missing downlink PDUs, and initiating, by the NW RLC layer, a re-transmission of the one or more missing PDUs on receiving the status PDU from the UE, thereby speeding up a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) operation.
