Abstract: The Power supply unit is a DC to DC converter which accept +27V DC input and provides +24V DC as outputs. The DC to DC converter is assembled in a Radiator plate and further assembled in the Power supply unit . The developed Radiator plate performs the function of Heat Sink in Power supply unit and dissipates the heat generated by DC to DC converter in the environment and keep the DC to DC converter cool and enhances the performance of Power supply unit even in severe hot environment.
The previously used DC to DC converter are assembled with discrete
components which requires specialized skill to assemble. The failure rate of
previous DC to DC converter are high during assembly. The assembly cost of
previous DC to DC converter are very high and takes too much time to assemble
15 with discrete components . The new DC to DC converter are customized module
and assembled in new developed radiator plate. The design of the radiator plate
is optimized so that it dissipates maximum amount of heat. The radiator plate is
light in weight. With the development of DC to DC converter assembled in
radiator plate, it saves valuable time as well as cost of the Power Supply unit .

SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION
The Power supply unit is a DC to DC converter which accept +27V DC input and
provides +24V DC as outputs. The DC to DC converter is assembled in a
Radiator plate and further assembled in the Power supply unit .The developed
Radiator plate performs the function of Heat Sink in Power supply unit and
dissipates the heat generated by DC to DC converter in the environment and
keep the DC to DC converter cool. Due to the heat generated by DC to DC
converter, the temperature will be increased around the DC to DC converter and
the device will not work properly and in turn degrade the Power supply unit. The
developed Radiator plate performs the function of heat dissipation which further
affect the performance of the DC to DC converter and enhances the performance
of Power supply unit even in severe hot environment.

In accordance with one aspect of present invention, due to present invention, the

saves time .

In accordance with another aspect of present invention, the radiator plate dissipates
maximum amount of heat and due to this temperature around the
DC to DC converter not increases and in turn keep the Power

In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention, the radiator plate is light in
weight and thus reduces the overall weight of the Power supply

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The Power supply unit is a DC to DC converter which accept +27V DC input and
provides +24V DC as outputs.
The input DC voltage may vary from 16.5 V DC to 32.5 V DC. The output +24V
will remain constant with variation in input voltage.
The DC to DC converter is assembled in a Radiator plate and further assembled
in the Power supply unit .
The developed Radiator plate performs the function of Heat Sink in Power
supply unit and dissipates the heat generated by DC to DC converter in the environment
and keep the DC to DC converter cool and enhances the performance of Power supply
unit even in severe hot environment.
The dimension of the Radiator plate is 106 mm x 60mm x 15 mm. The thickness
of the Radiator plate is 3 mm. The material of the Radiator plate is ALUMINIUM ALLOY
and painted with Black paint on outer surface exposed to the environment to maximize
the heat dissipation.
