Abstract: A radio station communicates control information for multipoint cooperating communication  in which a plurality of radio stations takes part in data transmission/ reception of a terminal  with another radio station taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication and/or a control station that manages the radio station.

Claims

1. A radio communication system comprising: a plurality of radio stations; a terminal; and a control station, wherein a radio station communicates control information regarding multipoint cooperating communication, in which a plurality of radio stations take part in data transmission/ reception with the terminal, with another radio station taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication and/or with the control station managing the radio station.

2. The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication is configured or retained in one or more of the radio stations.

The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes at least one of functional information of the multipoint cooperating communication; configuration information of a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication; and access stratum (AS) configuration information.

4. The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, communicates the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication with another radio station or with the control station.

The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, belongs to a cooperating Set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication, the one radio station communicating the control information regarding multipoint cooperating communication with a neighbor radio station or with the control station.

6. The radio communication system according to claim 3, wherein the functional information includes at least one of presence/ absence of the multipoint cooperating communication function; and a supported transmission/ reception scheme of the multipoint cooperating communication.

7. The radio communication system according to claim 3, wherein the configuration information includes an identifier of the cooperating set.

8. The radio communication system according to claim 3, wherein the access stratum configuration information includes at least one of radio resource management information; terminal measurement configuration information; and scheduler information.

The radio communication system according to claim 8, wherein the terminal measurement configuration information includes at least one of a type of measurement information to be measured by the terminal; a period of reporting the measurement information; and event information allowing the terminal to decide whether or not the terminal is to report the measurement information.

The radio communication system according to any one of claim 1, wherein a trigger to cause the radio station to communicate the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes at least one of information reported by the terminal satisfying a given condition; establishing connection to another radio station being about to be or having already been done; connection to another radio station being about to be or having already been updated; the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by the other radio station; the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by a radio station to which the terminal belongs; and the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by the control station.

The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein a trigger to cause the radio station to communicate the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes satisfying a condition that received quality of a neighbor cell reported by the terminal exceeds a given threshold value.

The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein the radio station or the control station that manages the radio station configures a cooperating set in accordance with the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication, the cooperating set being a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio.stations, the radio stations taking part directly or indirectly in the multipoint cooperating communication.

The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein the base station includes at least one of a radio base station, a relay node, an RRH (Remote Radio Head) and RRE (Remote Radio Equipment), and wherein the control station includes an upper-level node of the radio base stations or one of the radio base stations.

The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein a neighbor cell list indicating a relation among neighbor cells retained by the radio station and/or a control station managing the radio station includes, as one of attributes thereof, an attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication.

15. The radio communication system according to claim 14, wherein the attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes: a flag indicating whether .or not a neighbor cell belongs to the same cooperating set; and an identifier of the cooperating set to which belongs the neighbor cell.

16. The radio communication system according to claim 14, wherein the radio station and/or the control station correlates the attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication and the scheduler information to each other.

17. A method for radio communication, comprising: a radio station communicating control information regarding multipoint cooperating communication, in which a plurality of radio stations take part in data transmission/ reception with a terminal, with another radio station taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication and/or with a control station managing the radio station; and configuring a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication.

18. The method for radio communication according to claim 17, wherein the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication is configured or retained in one or more of the radio stations.

The method for radio communication according to claim 17, wherein the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes at least one of functional information of the multipoint cooperating communication; configuration information of the cooperating set; and access stratum (AS) configuration information.

20. The method for radio communication according to claim 17, wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, communicates the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication with another radio station or with the control station.

The method for radio communication according to claim 17 wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, belongs to a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication, the one radio station communicating the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication with a neighbor radio station or with the control station.

The method for radio communication according to claim 19, wherein the functional information includes at least one of presence/ absence of the multipoint cooperating communication function; and a supported transmission/ reception scheme of the multipoint cooperating communication. 23 The method for radio communication according to claim 19, wherein the configuration information includes an identifier of the cooperating set.

24. The method for radio communication according to claim 19, wherein the access stratum configuration information includes at least one of radio resource management information; terminal measurement configuration information; and scheduler information.

The method for radio communication according to claim 24, wherein the terminal measurement configuration information includes at least one of a type of measurement information to be measured by the terminal; a period of reporting the measurement information; and event information allowing the terminal to decide whether or not the terminal is to report the measurement information. 26. The method for radio communication according to claim 17, wherein a trigger to cause the radio station to communicate the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes at least one of information reported by the terminal satisfying a given condition; establishing connection to the other radio station being about to be or having already been done; connection to the other radio station being about to be or having already been updated; the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by the other radio station; the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by a radio station to which the terminal belongs; and the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by the control station. 27 The method for radio communication according to claim 17, wherein a trigger to cause the radio station to communicate the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes satisfying a condition that the received quality of a neighbor cell as reported by the terminal exceeds a given threshold value. 28 The method for radio communication according to claim 17, wherein the radio station or the control station that manages the radio station configures a cooperating set in accordance with the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication, the cooperating set being a set of the radio stations taking part directly or indirectly in the multipoint cooperating communication or a set of cells of the radio station. 29 The method for radio communication according to claim 17, wherein the base station includes at least one of a radio base station, a relay node, an RRH (Remote Radio Head) and RRE (Remote Radio Equipment); and wherein the control station includes an upper-level node of the radio base station or a radio base station. 30 The method for radio communication according to claim 17, wherein a neighbor cell list indicating a relation between neighbor cells retained by the radio station and/or a control station managing the radio station includes, as one of attributes thereof, an attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication. 31 The method for radio communication according to claim 30, wherein the attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes: a flag indicating whether or not a neighbor cell belongs to the same cooperating set; and an identifier of the cooperating set to which belongs the neighbor cell. 32 The method for radio communication according to claim 30, wherein the radio station and/or the control station correlates the attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication and the scheduler information to each other.

A radio station comprising: a.unit that performs radio communication with a terminal; and a unit that communicates control information regarding multipoint cooperating communication, in which a plurality of radio stations take part in data transmission/ reception with the terminal, with another radio station taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication and/or with a control station managing the radio station.

34. The radio station according to claim 33, wherein the control information regarding the, multipoint cooperating communication is configured or retained in one or more of the plurality of the radio stations,

The radio station according to claim 33, wherein the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes at least one of. functional information of the multipoint cooperating communication; configuration information of a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication; and access stratum (AS) configuration information.

36. The radio station according to claim 33, wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, communicates the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication with another radio station or with the control station.

The radio station according to claim 33, wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, belongs to a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication, the one radio station communicating the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication with a neighbor radio station or with the control station. 38. The radio station according to claim 35, wherein the functional information includes at least one of presence/ absence of the multipoint cooperating communication function; and a supported transmission/ reception scheme of the multipoint cooperating communication.

39. The radio station according to claim 35, wherein the configuration information includes an identifier of the cooperating set.

40. The radio station according to claim 35, wherein the access stratum (AS) configuration information includes at least one of radio resource management information; terminal measurement configuration information; and scheduler information.

41. The radio station according to claim-40, wherein the terminal measurement configuration information includes at least one of a type of measurement information to be measured by the terminal; a period of reporting the measurement information; and event information allowing the terminal to decide whether or not the terminal is to report the measurement information. 42. The radio station according to claim 33, wherein a trigger to cause the radio station to communicate the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes at least one of information reported by the terminal satisfying a given condition; establishing connection to the other radio station being about to be or having already been done; connection to the other radio station being about to be or having already been updated; the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by the other radio station; the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by a radio station to which the terminal belongs; and the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by the control station.

The radio station according to claim 33, wherein a trigger to cause the radio station to communicate the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes satisfying a condition that the. received quality of a neighbor cell as reported by the terminal exceeds a given threshold value.

The radio station according to claim 33, wherein the radio station or the control station that manages the radio station configures a cooperating set in accordance with the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication, the cooperating set being a set of the radio stations taking part directly or indirectly in the multipoint cooperating communication or a set of cells of the radio station.

The radio station according to claim 33, wherein the base station includes at least one of a radio base station, a relay node, an RRH (Remote Radio Head) and RRE (Remote Radio Equipment), and wherein the control station includes an upper-level node of the radio base station or a radio base station.

The radio station according to claim 33, wherein a neighbor cell list indicating the relation between neighbor cells retained by the radio station and/or a control station managing the radio station includes, as one of attributes thereof, an attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication.

47. The radio station according to claim 46, wherein the. attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes : a flag indicating whether or not a neighbor cell belongs to the same cooperating set; and an identifier of the cooperating set to which belongs the neighbor cell.

48. The radio station according to claim 46, wherein the radio station and/or the control station correlates the attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication and the scheduler information to each other.

49. A control station comprising: a unit that performs communication with a plurality of radio stations; and a unit that communicates control information regarding multipoint cooperating communication, in which a plurality of radio stations take part in data transmission/ reception with a terminal, with one radio station of the plurality of radio stations and/or with another radio station taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication with the one radio station.

50. The control station according to claim 49, wherein the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication is configured or retained in one or more of the radio stations.

The control station according to claim 49, wherein the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes at least one of functional information of the multipoint cooperating communication; configuration information of a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of ceils of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication; and access stratum (AS) configuration information.

52. The control station according to any one of claims 49, wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, communicates the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication with another radio station or with the control station.

The control station according to claim 49, wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, belongs to a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication, the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication being communicated with the radio station or the neighbor radio station.

The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein a first radio station sends a request to configure a cooperating set (CoOP cooperating set) (CoMP set configuration request) and/or the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication of the first radio station (CoMP control information) to a second radio station managing a neighbor cell, in case a received quality of a downlink signal of the neighbor cell reported by a terminal served by the first radio station satisfies a given level, in order to decide whether or not the neighbor cell is to be added to a cooperating set (CoMP cooperating set) of the multipoint cooperating communication, by way of making preparations for carrying out the multipoint cooperating communication (CoMP transmission/ reception), the second radio station sends to the first radio station a response to the request for configuring the cooperating set (CoMP cooperating set) (CoMP set configuration response) and/or control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication of the second radio station, and the first base station, on receiving an acknowledge response from the second radio station, adds the neighbor cell to the cooperating set (CoMP cooperating set) to newly generate or update the cooperating set.

55. (Original) The radio communication system according to claim 54, wherein the first radio station sends, in preparing for performing CoMP transmission/ reception, a request for configuring a cooperating set (CoMP configuration request) to a second radio station managing the neighbor cell, the first radio station sends, in case a response to the request to configure the cooperating set (CoMP set configuration response) is returned from the second radio station to the first radio station, CoMP control information to the second radio station, the second radio station sends CoMP control information to the first radio station.

56. The radio communication system according to claim 54, wherein the radio station, which transmitted the request to configure a cooperating set (CoMP set configuration request) and which is notified of a timeout value of a timer, starts the timer, and after timeout of the timer, again makes a request to configure a cooperating set (CoMP set configuration request)..

57. The radio communication system according to claim 54, wherein after timeout of the timer, the radio station which received the request to configure the cooperating set (CoMP configuring set) (CoMP set configuration request) decides whether or not the request can again be accepted, in case the request is unable to be accepted, the radio station notifies information that the request can be accepted to the radio station which transmitted the request to configure the cooperating set (CoMP configuration request), in case the request is able to be accepted, the radio station notifies the timeout value of the timer or a timer restart to the radio station which transmitted the request to configure the cooperating set (CoMP configuration request).

58. A computer readable, recording medium storing a program causing a computer composing a radio station to execute the processing comprising: communicating control information regarding multipoint cooperating communication, in which a plurality of radio stations take part in data transmission/ reception with a terminal, with another radio station taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication and/or with a control station managing the radio station; and configuring a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication. 5 9. A computer readable recording medium storing a program causing a computer composing a control station to execute the processing comprising: communicating control information regarding multipoint cooperating communication, in which a plurality of radio stations take part in data transmission/ reception with a terminal, with one radio station of the a plurality of radio stations and/or with another radio station taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication with the one radio station; and configuring a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication. 60. The radio station according to claim 33, further comprising: a unit that automatically configure a list of cells composing a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication, the unit communicating, with another radio station or with a control station, the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication, the control information at least including one out of functional information of the multipoint cooperating communication; configuration information of a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication; and access stratum (AS) configuration information; the unit exploiting the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication to automatically configure the list of cells composing the cooperating set.

61. The radio station according to claim 60, wherein a plurality of cooperating sets are provided, the cooperating being switched depending on a load of a cell or on a location of the terminal within the cell.

Specification

CLAIMS:
1. A radio communication system comprising:
a plurality of radio stations;
a terminal; and
a control station, wherein a radio station communicates control information regarding multipoint cooperating communication, in which a plurality of radio stations take part in data transmission/ reception with the terminal, with another radio station taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication and/or with the control station
managing the radio station.
2. The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein
the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating
communication is configured or retained in one or more of the radio
stations.
3. The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein
the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating
communication includes at least one of
functional information of the multipoint cooperating
communication;
configuration information of a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication; and
access stratum (AS) configuration information.
4. The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, communicates the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication with another radio station or with the control station.
5. The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, belongs to a cooperating Set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication,
the one radio station communicating the control information regarding multipoint cooperating communication with a neighbor radio

station or with the control station.
6. The radio communication system according to claim 3, wherein
the functional information includes at least one of
presence/ absence of the multipoint cooperating communication function; and
a supported transmission/ reception scheme of the multipoint cooperating communication.
7. The radio communication system according to claim 3, wherein the configuration information includes an identifier of the cooperating set.
8. The radio communication system according to claim 3, wherein the access stratum configuration information includes at least one of
radio resource management information;
terminal measurement configuration information; and
scheduler information.
9. The radio communication system according to claim 8, wherein
the terminal measurement configuration information includes at least
one of
a type of measurement information to be measured by the
terminal;
a period of reporting the measurement information; and
event information allowing the terminal to decide whether or
not the terminal is to report the measurement information.
10. The radio communication system according to any one of claim
1, wherein a trigger to cause the radio station to communicate the
control information regarding the multipoint cooperating
communication includes at least one of
information reported by the terminal satisfying a given condition;
establishing connection to another radio station being about to be or having already been done;
connection to another radio station being about to be or having already been updated;
the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating

communication having been requested by the other radio station;
the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by a radio station to which the
terminal belongs; and
the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by the control station.
11. The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein
a trigger to cause the radio station to communicate the control
information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication
includes
satisfying a condition that received quality of a neighbor cell
reported by the terminal exceeds a given threshold value.
12. The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein
the radio station or the control station that manages the radio station
configures a cooperating set in accordance with the control
information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication, the
cooperating set being a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the
radio.stations, the radio stations taking part directly or indirectly in
the multipoint cooperating communication.
13. The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein
the base station includes at least one of
a radio base station, a relay node, an RRH (Remote Radio Head) and RRE (Remote Radio Equipment), and wherein
the control station includes an upper-level node of the radio base stations or one of the radio base stations.
14. The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein
a neighbor cell list indicating a relation among neighbor cells retained
by the radio station and/or a control station managing the radio station
includes, as one of attributes thereof, an attribute regarding the
multipoint cooperating communication.
15. The radio communication system according to claim 14, wherein
the attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication
includes:
a flag indicating whether .or not a neighbor cell belongs to the

same cooperating set; and
an identifier of the cooperating set to which belongs the
neighbor cell.
16. The radio communication system according to claim 14, wherein the radio station and/or the control station correlates the attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication and the scheduler information to each other.
17. A method for radio communication, comprising:
a radio station communicating control information regarding multipoint cooperating communication, in which a plurality of radio stations take part in data transmission/ reception with a terminal, with another radio station taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication and/or with a control station managing the radio
station; and
configuring a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication.
18. The method for radio communication according to claim 17,
wherein the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating
communication is configured or retained in one or more of the radio
stations.
19. The method for radio communication according to claim 17,
wherein the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating
communication includes at least one of
functional information of the multipoint cooperating
communication;
configuration information of the cooperating set; and access stratum (AS) configuration information.
20. The method for radio communication according to claim 17,
wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs,
communicates the control information regarding the multipoint
cooperating communication with another radio station or with the
control station.
21. The method for radio communication according to claim 17

wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, belongs to a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication,
the one radio station communicating the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication with a neighbor radio station or with the control station.
22. The method for radio communication according to claim 19, wherein the functional information includes at least one of
presence/ absence of the multipoint cooperating communication
function; and
a supported transmission/ reception scheme of the multipoint
cooperating communication.
23 The method for radio communication according to claim 19,
wherein the configuration information includes an identifier of the
cooperating set.
24. The method for radio communication according to claim 19,
wherein the access stratum configuration information includes at least
one of
radio resource management information;
terminal measurement configuration information; and
scheduler information.
25. The method for radio communication according to claim 24,
wherein the terminal measurement configuration information includes
at least one of
a type of measurement information to be measured by the
terminal;
a period of reporting the measurement information; and event information allowing the terminal to decide whether or not the terminal is to report the measurement information. 26. The method for radio communication according to claim 17, wherein a trigger to cause the radio station to communicate the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes at least one of

information reported by the terminal satisfying a given
condition;
establishing connection to the other radio station being about to
be or having already been done;
connection to the other radio station being about to be or having
already been updated;
the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by the other radio station;
the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by a radio station to which the
terminal belongs; and
the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by the control station.
27 The method for radio communication according to claim 17,
wherein a trigger to cause the radio station to communicate the control
information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication
includes
satisfying a condition that the received quality of a neighbor cell as reported by the terminal exceeds a given threshold value.
28 The method for radio communication according to claim 17,
wherein the radio station or the control station that manages the radio
station configures a cooperating set in accordance with the control
information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication, the
cooperating set being a set of the radio stations taking part directly or
indirectly in the multipoint cooperating communication or a set of
cells of the radio station.
29 The method for radio communication according to claim 17,
wherein the base station includes at least one of
a radio base station, a relay node, an RRH (Remote Radio Head) and RRE (Remote Radio Equipment); and wherein
the control station includes an upper-level node of the radio base station or a radio base station.
30 The method for radio communication according to claim 17,
wherein a neighbor cell list indicating a relation between neighbor

cells retained by the radio station and/or a control station managing the radio station includes, as one of attributes thereof, an attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication.
31 The method for radio communication according to claim 30,
wherein the attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating
communication includes:
a flag indicating whether or not a neighbor cell belongs to the
same cooperating set; and
an identifier of the cooperating set to which belongs the
neighbor cell.
32 The method for radio communication according to claim 30,
wherein the radio station and/or the control station correlates the
attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication and the
scheduler information to each other.
33. A radio station comprising:
a.unit that performs radio communication with a terminal; and a unit that communicates control information regarding multipoint cooperating communication, in which a plurality of radio stations take part in data transmission/ reception with the terminal, with another radio station taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication and/or with a control station managing the radio
station.
34. The radio station according to claim 33, wherein the control
information regarding the, multipoint cooperating communication is
configured or retained in one or more of the plurality of the radio
stations,
35. The radio station according to claim 33, wherein the control
information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication
includes at least one of.
functional information of the multipoint cooperating
communication;
configuration information of a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication; and

access stratum (AS) configuration information.
36. The radio station according to claim 33, wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, communicates the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication with another radio station or with the control station.
37. The radio station according to claim 33, wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, belongs to a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating
communication,
the one radio station communicating the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication with a neighbor radio station or with the control station. 38. The radio station according to claim 35, wherein the functional
information includes at least one of
presence/ absence of the multipoint cooperating communication
function; and
a supported transmission/ reception scheme of the multipoint
cooperating communication.
39. The radio station according to claim 35, wherein the configuration information includes an identifier of the cooperating set.
40. The radio station according to claim 35, wherein the access stratum (AS) configuration information includes at least one of
radio resource management information;
terminal measurement configuration information; and
scheduler information.
41. The radio station according to claim-40, wherein the terminal
measurement configuration information includes at least one of
a type of measurement information to be measured by the
terminal;
a period of reporting the measurement information; and
event information allowing the terminal to decide whether or not the terminal is to report the measurement information. 42. The radio station according to claim 33, wherein a trigger to

cause the radio station to communicate the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes at least
one of
information reported by the terminal satisfying a given
condition;
establishing connection to the other radio station being about to
be or having already been done;
connection to the other radio station being about to be or having
already been updated;
the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by the other radio station;
the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by a radio station to which the
terminal belongs; and
the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication having been requested by the control station.
43. The radio station according to claim 33, wherein a trigger to
cause the radio station to communicate the control information
regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes
satisfying a condition that the. received quality of a neighbor cell as reported by the terminal exceeds a given threshold value.
44. The radio station according to claim 33, wherein the radio
station or the control station that manages the radio station configures
a cooperating set in accordance with the control information regarding
the multipoint cooperating communication, the cooperating set being a
set of the radio stations taking part directly or indirectly in the
multipoint cooperating communication or a set of cells of the radio
station.
45. The radio station according to claim 33, wherein the base station includes at least one of a radio base station, a relay node, an RRH (Remote Radio Head) and RRE (Remote Radio Equipment), and wherein the control station includes an upper-level node of the radio base station or a radio base station.
46. The radio station according to claim 33, wherein a neighbor cell

list indicating the relation between neighbor cells retained by the radio station and/or a control station managing the radio station includes, as one of attributes thereof,
an attribute regarding the multipoint cooperating communication.
47. The radio station according to claim 46, wherein the. attribute
regarding the multipoint cooperating communication includes :
a flag indicating whether or not a neighbor cell belongs to the
same cooperating set; and
an identifier of the cooperating set to which belongs the
neighbor cell.
48. The radio station according to claim 46, wherein the radio
station and/or the control station correlates the attribute regarding the
multipoint cooperating communication and the scheduler information
to each other.
49. A control station comprising:
a unit that performs communication with a plurality of radio
stations; and
a unit that communicates control information regarding
multipoint cooperating communication, in which a plurality of radio
stations take part in data transmission/ reception with a terminal, with
one radio station of the plurality of radio stations and/or with another
radio station taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication
with the one radio station.
50. The control station according to claim 49, wherein the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication is configured or retained in one or more of the radio stations.
51. The control station according to claim 49, wherein the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication
includes at least one of
functional information of the multipoint cooperating
communication;
configuration information of a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of ceils of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication; and

access stratum (AS) configuration information.
52. The control station according to any one of claims 49, wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, communicates the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication with another radio station or with the control station.
53. The control station according to claim 49, wherein one radio station, to which the terminal belongs, belongs to a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating
communication,
the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication being communicated with the radio station or the
neighbor radio station.
54. The radio communication system according to claim 1, wherein a first radio station sends a request to configure a cooperating set (CoOP cooperating set) (CoMP set configuration request) and/or the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication of the first radio station (CoMP control information) to a second radio station managing a neighbor cell, in case a received quality of a downlink signal of the neighbor cell reported by a terminal served by the first radio station satisfies a given level, in order to decide whether or not the neighbor cell is to be added to a cooperating set (CoMP cooperating set) of the multipoint cooperating communication, by way of making preparations for carrying out the multipoint cooperating communication (CoMP transmission/
reception),
the second radio station sends to the first radio station a response to the request for configuring the cooperating set (CoMP cooperating set) (CoMP set configuration response) and/or control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication of the second radio station, and
the first base station, on receiving an acknowledge response from the second radio station, adds the neighbor cell to the cooperating set (CoMP cooperating set) to newly generate or update

the cooperating set.
55. (Original) The radio communication system according to claim
54, wherein the first radio station sends, in preparing for performing
CoMP transmission/ reception, a request for configuring a cooperating
set (CoMP configuration request) to a second radio station managing
the neighbor cell,
the first radio station sends, in case a response to the request to configure the cooperating set (CoMP set configuration response) is returned from the second radio station to the first radio station, CoMP control information to the second radio station,
the second radio station sends CoMP control information to the first radio station.
56. The radio communication system according to claim 54, wherein
the radio station, which transmitted the request to configure a
cooperating set (CoMP set configuration request) and which is notified
of a timeout value of a timer, starts the timer, and after timeout of the
timer, again makes a request to configure a cooperating set (CoMP set
configuration request)..
57. The radio communication system according to claim 54, wherein
after timeout of the timer, the radio station which received the
request to configure the cooperating set (CoMP configuring set) (CoMP set configuration request) decides whether or not the request can again be accepted,
in case the request is unable to be accepted, the radio station notifies information that the request can be accepted to the radio station which transmitted the request to configure the cooperating set (CoMP configuration request),
in case the request is able to be accepted, the radio station notifies the timeout value of the timer or a timer restart to the radio station which transmitted the request to configure the cooperating set (CoMP configuration request).
58. A computer readable, recording medium storing a program
causing a computer composing a radio station to execute the
processing comprising:

communicating control information regarding multipoint cooperating communication, in which a plurality of radio stations take part in data transmission/ reception with a terminal, with another radio station taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication and/or with a control station managing the radio station; and
configuring a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication.
5 9. A computer readable recording medium storing a program causing a computer composing a control station to execute the
processing comprising:
communicating control information regarding multipoint cooperating communication, in which a plurality of radio stations take part in data transmission/ reception with a terminal, with one radio station of the a plurality of radio stations and/or with another radio station taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication with
the one radio station; and
configuring a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication. 60. The radio station according to claim 33, further comprising:
a unit that automatically configure a list of cells composing a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating
communication,
the unit communicating, with another radio station or with a
control station, the control information regarding the multipoint
cooperating communication,
the control information at least including one out of
functional information of the multipoint cooperating
communication;
configuration information of a cooperating set which is a set of radio stations or a set of cells of the radio stations, the radio stations taking part in the multipoint cooperating communication; and

access stratum (AS) configuration information;
the unit exploiting the control information regarding the multipoint cooperating communication to automatically configure the list of cells composing the cooperating set.
61. The radio station according to claim 60, wherein a plurality of cooperating sets are provided, the cooperating being switched depending on a load of a cell or on a location of the terminal within the cell.
