Abstract: Provided is a railway wheel capable of suppressing the extension of cracks. A railway wheel (100) according to the present disclosure comprises: a boss section (10); a rim section (20) including a tread (21) and a flange (22); and a plate section (30). The railway wheel (100) is configured so that a surface layer of the rim section (20) including the tread (21) has an elastic limit s0 of 430 MPa or more, has an initial kinematic hardening coefficient C of 130 GPa or more, and has a kinematic hardening coefficient reduction rate ? of 400 or less. The initial kinematic hardening coefficient C and the kinematic hardening coefficient reduction rate ? satisfy formula (1).
