Rain Sensing Automatic Car Mono Wiper Using Ic Lm358 Microcontroller

Abstract: Over the past few years the automotive industry has aggressively researched ways to develop systems for safety, to save humans life. Generally working of a car wiper is based on manual switching. In this case the driver has to switch ON the power button to turn on the wiper. It complicate things because the driver has to concentrate simultaneously on driving and wiper. With drivers exposed to increased distraction, automatic rain sensing wiper system becomes more appealing feature, as they eliminate the risk and distraction to turn on the wiper manually. In this wiper it has single wiper to wipe the whole windshield with umbrella technology and it's expandable with the adaptive nature and also automatic wiper system, a rain sensor, microcontroller IC-LM358 and a driver integrated circuit is used to convert manual operation into automatic operation. When water falls on the rain sensor, the sensor sends the signal to the microcontroller and then the microcontroller processes the data and energizes the driver IC to turn on the wiper. With these modifications automatic cleaning and mono wiping of the glass can be done without the involvement of the driver.

Specification

4. DESCRIPTION
Today's car wipers are manual systems that work on the principle of manual switching. So here we propose an automatic wiper system that automatically switches ON on detecting rain and stops when the rain stops through the microcontroller IC-LM358. Monowiping system is not broadly used in any cars and it can be done by umbrella mechanisms and it can be resizable and reduce in cost of the user. The mono wiper used for cleaning the car windshield throughout and it cleans 180° from the Left 2 Right(L2R) and Right 2 Left (R2L). The wiper contains fiber particles which cleans dry dust also. Wiper extends its secondary blade to last surface of the windshield and it cleans the dust and water molecules in all the areas of windshield which is used to detects the signals from the IR sensor fixed in the top panel of the windshield to detect the rain / water molecule.
The existing system it cleaned the dust and water drops in half of the areas of windshield. The wiper will move manually and automatically it helps the driver to concentrate on the driving. The adjustable windscreen wiper according to the present invention refers to a new type of wiper structure in which the length of the blade is adjustable according to the size of the windscreen. It is structured with two detachable and adjustable frame rods—the main and sub-frame rods-whose lower edges are designed to house the blade so that the length of the wiper is freely adjustable to fit windscreens of all sizes. The adjustable windscreen wiper overcomes the disadvantages of the conventional windscreen wipers, the manufacturing cost will be cheaper, to increase the value of the windscreen wiper and to make it satisfy the customers need. Optimum visibility through maintenance of clean windshields on vehicles constitutes an important factor towards reducing the number of motor vehicle accidents that are caused by driver-impaired vision.
The instant invention is a compound windshield wiper blade system that cleans essentially the entire windshield by employing a secondary wiper arm held parallel and closely to the main-wiper arm. However, in the instant invention the secondary wiper blade is extendable and retractable through such reciprocative motion, cleans portions of the windshield normally left unswept. The system to automate the wiper system not need manual intervention. For this purpose, Figure 4.1 shows the outer part of the product use a rain sensor along with a microcontroller to drive the wiper motor. The microcontroller EC-LM358. It is used to detects the signals from the IR sensor fixed in the top panel of the windshield to detect the rain / water molecule.
