Abstract: ABSTRACT REAL-TIME MONITORING OF BUSES SYSTEM FOR PUBLIC The public transport system consists of various means of transportation in major metro & non-metro cities. These modes of transport include metro rails, trains, buses, etc. Most of the trains & metro rails are equipped with real-time monitoring systems, which ensure optimal usage of the transportation system & facilitate the customers/travelers to plan their journey accordingly to avoid delays. However, road transport, i.e., public buses,is yet to incorporate this system. The same is suggested to be completed in this invention.

CN101762396A: The invention relates to a system for positioning a vehicle wheel and a method therefor. None of the prior art indicate above either alone or in combination with one another disclose what the present invention has disclosed. Present invention is about real-time monitoring of the location of public transport, i.e., buses to ensure optimal usage of resources it will ensure optimal usage of public transport in the peak hours of demand, Customers will be able to plan their journey accordingly to avoid unnecessary crowd.

The public transport system consists of various means of transportations in major metro & non-metro cities. These modes of transport include metro rails, trains, buses, etc. Most of the trains & metro rails are equipped with real time monitoring systems which ensures optimal usage of the transportation system & facilitates the customers/travelers to plan their journey accordingly to avoid delays. However, road transport, i.e., public buses are yet to incorporate this system. The same is suggested to be completed in this invention.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Controller device will be installed in buses, which will interact with the sensors & will send data to bus stations via Radio Frequency controller as shown in Figure 1. A display unit will be incorporated which will display the upcoming bus stops & the estimated time of arrival. The location of bus will be shared by the controller unit installed in the bus to the controller unit of bus stand by the help of Radio Frequency controller as shown in Figure 2. The 2nd part of the system will be installed at the bus stations. This will consist of controller unit, RF communication controller, a GPS modem, keyboard, speaker and a display unit as shown in Figure 3. The system will be powered by electricity generated by solar power panels. The speaker will announce the upcoming buses & will tell the estimated time of arrival of buses plying on various routes. Display will show the time table of buses along with estimated time of arrival and the route of upcoming buses.

In this invention, it is proposed that a system will be incorporated in the buses plying for public transportation to track the buses & share the live location so that this data can be used & shown at the bus stands to inform the customers regarding the next upcoming buses, estimated time of arrival, first & last bus timings, etc. This data will help the commuters to plan their journey accordingly & reach their destination on time. The system will work with the help of sensors, installed in the buses & the bus stands, which will track the bus journey & update the consumers regarding the same.
ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION:
The system will ease the commuting of commuters by providing them with the necessary information.
It will ensure optimal usage of public transport in the peak hours of demand.
Customers will be able to plan their journey accordingly to avoid the unnecessary crowd.
This system can be incorporated with mobile applications so that customers can keep track of bus locations from the comfort of their homes& plan their journey accordingly.
