Abstract: A two wheeled vehicle is disclosed with a rear fender and a rear cover assembly fixed with the frame and said rear cover assembly has multiple side rear covers and a centre rear cover integrated with each other such that the centre rear cover is fixed with the side covers at minimum one location and covering rear illumination devices like number plate illuminator.
FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to a two wheeled vehicle and more particularly to the rear cover of the two wheeled vehicle.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Generally, rear cover assembly and the rear fender of any two wheeled vehicle is fixed with the frame of the vehicle. The rear fender is located over the frame but below the rear cover and said rear fender has a part called illuminator cover. Said illuminator cover is attached to the rear fender only and is not directly connected to the frame because of constructional limitations of the rear fender, number plate and the number plate illumination lamp. This cover illuminator part is held together with rear fender by assembling turn signal lamp thus said cover illuminator and rear fender carries turn signal lamp load which leads to rattling and vibration of said illuminator cover. This rattling and vibration of the illuminator cover increases the overall vibration of the vehicle creating uncomfortable ride for the driver.
Thus a provision is required for the cover illuminator in order to control the rattling and vibration thereby enhancing aesthetics and performance of the vehicle.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The objective of this invention is to provide a two wheeled vehicle with a rear fender and a rear cover assembly fixed with the frame such that the rear cover assembly has multiple side rear covers and a centre rear cover integrated with each other in a manner that the centre rear cover is fixed with the side covers at minimum one location and the centre rear cover is also working as a cover for rear illumination devices like number plate illuminator.
The above said arrangement of the rear cover assembly increases the strength of the assembly and decreases the rattling and the vibration of the rear cover assembly specially the centre rear cover assembly.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS
The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below and the accompanying drawings which are incorporated in and constitute embodiments of the invention, illustrate several aspects of the invention and together with a description of the embodiments serve to explain the principles of the invention and thus, are not limited of the present invention and a brief description of the drawings is as follows:
Figure 1, is the side view of the frame structure of the two wheeled vehicle depicting the embodiments of the invention.
Figure 2, is the exploded view of the embodiments of the invention and depicting the arrangement of the different embodiments with respect to each other.
Figure 3, is the top view of the rear part of the vehicle depicting the arrangement of the embodiments of the invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The embodiments disclosed below are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed in the following detailed description. Rather, the embodiments are chosen and described so that others skilled in the art may utilize their teachings. The invention may have application to all types of two wheeled vehicles.
Referring to Figure 1 the frame (101) is shown in order to describe the arrangement of the rear cover assembly (100) and more specifically side rear cover assembly (102) and centre rear cover assembly (103) with respect to the rear fender (105) of the two wheeled vehicle. The rear cover assembly (100) and the rear fender (105) are connected to the frame (101) separately. The sub parts of the rear cover assembly (100) i.e. the side rear cover assembly (102) is further connected to the frame (100) and the rear fender (105) and the centre rear cover assembly (103) is only connected to the side rear cover assembly at multiple locations.
Figure 2 is further showing the exploded view of the above mentioned arrangement wherein the left side rear cover assembly (108) and right side rear cover assembly (109) are fonning front part of the rear cover assembly which is fixed with the frame (101, not shown in the figure 2) and connected to each other through a tail lamp holder (106) which is forming a bridge between the left side rear cover assembly (108) and right side rear cover assembly (109) and said tail lamp holder (106) works as the fixing base for the tail lamp (107). The centre rear cover assembly (103) is
fixed with the left side rear cover assembly (108), right side rear cover assembly (109) and the tail lamp holder (106) in order to reduce the vibration and rattling of the centre rear cover assembly (103) which is also working as the rear number plate illuminator (113) cover. The rear fender (105) is further connected to the frame (101, not shown in the figure 2) through frame mounting brackets (110). Turn signal lamps right and left (110,112) are fixed with the rear fender (105). The number plate (114) is fixed with the rear fender (105) rear portion and the rear number plate illuminator (113) is located just above the rear number plate (114) and fixed with the rear fender (105).
Further, referring to Figure 3 top view of the rear part of the vehicle is shown in order to explain the fixing arrangements of the left side rear cover assembly (108) and the right side rear cover assembly (109) with the centre rear cover assembly (103). The centre rear cover assembly (103) is fixed with the side cover assemblies (108,109) through mounting brackets (111) on the left and right side. The centre rear cover assembly (103) is fixed with the tail lamp holder (106) through holding sockets (115) on left and right side wherein the said holding sockets (115) are located below the front portion of the pillion handle (114).
Described arrangement of the rear cover assembly increases the strength of the assembly and decreases rattling and vibration of the rear cover assembly specially the centre rear cover assembly.
