CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
The present application claims priority from Indian Provisional Patent Application No. 202321023321 filed on 29/03/2023, the entirety of which is incorporated herein by a reference.
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present disclosure generally relates to rear fender assembly of motorcycle. The present disclosure particularly relates to rear fender assembly with harness protection.
BACKGROUND
Generally, the two-wheeler vehicles such as motorcycles have seating capacity of two with one rider and one pillion passenger. The wheels of the motor cycles are generally covered using fenders and/or tyre huggers to prevent splashing of mud. Furthermore, the law also mandates a few accessories to be installed on the motor cycles for the safety of the rider and/or pillion.
Generally, multiple low voltage components are provided on the rear end of the vehicle for various purposes. The low voltage systems such as indicators are mounted on the rear fender of the vehicle. However, the wiring harness of such components is exposed to the environment and other moving mechanical components such as swingarm. During the operation of the vehicle, the wiring harness may be damaged due to the environmental factors and the movement of the mechanical components of the suspension system. Moreover, the mounting of such low voltage component requires additional mounting members leading to increased weight of the vehicle.
Therefore, there exists a need for an improved rear fender assembly that overcomes one or more problems associated as set forth above.
