Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a recycling unit (104) for recycling trimmed material in a laminating system (100). The recycling unit (104) may include a blower (202) that may blow the trimmed material downstream in the recycling unit (104). Further, the recycling unit (104) may include one or more ducts (204) that may coupled to the blower (202). The duct (204) may further include at least one bent portion (402) having perforations (404) therein. The bent portion (402), in operation, may allow excess air to escape from the duct (204) to regulate the flow of the trimmed material in the duct (204). The recycling unit (104) may further include one or more flappers (206) installed inside the duct (204). In one implementation, the flapper (204) may vary an area of flow of air and the trimmed material to control the flow of air and the trimmed material.
Claims:1. A recycling unit (104) for recycling trimmed material in a laminating system (100), the recycling system comprising:
at least one blower (202) to blow the trimmed material downstream in the recycling unit (104);
a duct (204) coupled to the at least one blower (202), the duct (204) comprising at least one bent portion (402) having perforations (404) therein, wherein the perforations (404) is to allow air to escape from the duct (204) to regulate flow of air in the duct (204);
at least one flapper (206) installed in the duct (204) and downstream with respect to the at least blower (202), wherein the at least one flapper (206) being actuable to control the flow of the air and of the trimmed material inside the duct (204) for recycling the trimmed material in the laminating system (100).
2. The recycling unit (104) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the flapper (206) is to reduce an area of flow in range of about 20% to 30% .
3. The recycling unit (104) as claimed in claim 1, wherein a thickness of the trimmed material is of about 18 microns to 20 microns.
4. The recycling unit (104) as claimed in claim 1, wherein a length of the trimmed material is of about 15 to 20 mm.
5. A laminating system (100) for manufacturing laminate web, the laminating system (100) comprising:
a manufacturing unit (102) to manufacture laminate web of a predefined size, wherein the manufacturing unit (102) is to provide trimmed material obtained upon trimming of the laminate web in the predefined size; and
a recycling unit (104) installed downstream with respect to the manufacturing unit (102), wherein the recycling unit (104) is to recycle the trimmed material to the manufacturing unit (102), the recycling unit (104) comprises:
at least one blower (202) to blow air and the trimmed material downstream in the recycling system;
a duct (204) fluidly coupled to the at least one blower (202), the duct (204) comprising at least one bent portion (402) having perforations (404) therein, wherein the perforations (404) is to allow air to escape from the duct (204) to regulate flow of air in the duct; and
at least one flapper (206) installed in the duct (204) and downstream with respect to the at least blower (202), wherein the at least one flapper (206) being actuable to control the flow of the air and of the trimmed material inside the duct;
6. The laminating system (100) as claimed in claim 5, wherein the manufacturing unit (102) further comprises:
a granulation unit (106) to form plastic granules from plastic raw material;
an extrusion unit (108) installed downstream with respect to the granulation unit (106) to receive the plastic granules from the granulation unit (106), wherein the extrusion unit (108) is to melt the plastic granules and extrude the molten plastic into a laminate web;
a trimming unit (110) installed downstream with respect to the extrusion unit (108) to receive the laminate web from the extrusion unit (108), wherein the trimming unit (110) is to trim the laminate web to a predefined size; and
at least one winder (112) installed downstream with respect to the at least one trimming unit (110), wherein the at least one winder (112) is to wind the laminate web to form a roll.
7. The laminating system (100) as claimed in claim 5, wherein the flapper (206) is to reduce an area of flow in range of about 20% to 30% .
