Reeling Machine

Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a reeling machine (200) for unwinding a first roll (202-1) to provide a first film (204-1) in a predefined alignment. The reeling machine (200) comprises a first reel (206-1) rotatable and slidable about the first axis, the first reel (206-1) unwinds the first roll (202-1) to provide the first film (204-1). The reeling machine (200) further comprises at least one guide roller (208) installed downstream with respect to the first reel (206-1). The guide roller (208) guides the first film (204-1) from the first input reel (206-1) to downstream in a first direction (210). The reeling machine (200) further comprises an alignment mechanism (212) installed in between the guide roller (208) and the first reel (206-1) such the alignment mechanism (212) detects a misalignment of the first film (204-1) to slide the first reel (206-1) to nullify the misalignment.

Specification

CLIAMS:1. A reeling machine (200) to unwind a first roll (202-1) to provide a first film (204-1) in a predefined alignment, the reeling machine (200) comprising:
a first reel (206-1) rotatable about a first axis and slidable along a length of the first reel (206-1), wherein the first reel (206-1) is to unwind the first roll (202-1) to provide the first film (204-1);
at least one guide roller (208), coupled to the first reel (206-1) to receive the first film (204-1) from the first reel (206-1), wherein the at least one guide roller (208) is to rotate about a second axis to deliver the first film (204-1) in a first direction (210) downstream with respect to the first reel (206-1) in the reeling machine (200) and to dampen vibrations in the first film (204-1);
at least a pair first rollers (214-1, 214-2) to receive the first film (204-1) from the at least one guide roller (208) in the first direction (210), wherein the pair of the first rollers ( 214-1, 214-2) is to rotate about a third axis to deliver the first film (204-1) in a second direction (216);
an alignment mechanism (212) installed in between and coupled to the at least one guide roller (208) and the first reel (206-1), wherein the alignment mechanism (212) is to detect a misalignment of the first film (204-1) in the first direction (210) to generate a signal based on the misalignment of the first film (204-1); and
a driver coupled to the first reel (206-1), wherein the driver is to slide the first reel (206-1) laterally along the first axis based on the signal.

2. The reeling machine (200) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the alignment mechanism (212) further comprising a plurality of sensors to detect the misalignment of the first film (204-1).

3. The reeling machine (200) as claimed in claim 2, wherein the plurality of sensors are optical sensors.

4. The reeling machine (200) as claimed in claim 3, wherein the driver is a servo motor.

5. The reeling machine (200) as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a pair of second rollers (216-1, 216-2) to press the first film (204-1) and a second film (204-2) together to form a multilayer laminated sheet (218).

6. The reeling machine (200) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one guide roller (208) comprises a first guide roller (208-1), a second guide roller (208-2), and a third guide roller (208-3).

7. The reeling machine (200) as claimed in claim 6, wherein the second guide roller (208-2) guides the first film (204-1) towards third guide roller (208-3) in the first direction (210) and the third guide roller (208-3) guides the first film (204-1) to a pair of first rollers (214-1, 214-2) in the second direction (216), wherein the first direction (210) is perpendicular with respect to the second direction (216).
