Abstract: Disclosed herein is an extended-gate field-effect transistor (EGFET) based sensor that uses a set of interdigitated electrodes (IDEs, 104) as an extended gate, therefore, eliminating the need for an additional reference electrode, hence known as a reference-less EGFET. The EGFET based sensor is capable of detecting different concentrations of target materials, including but not limited to Bisphenol analogues.
