1. A method for automatic detection and removal of malfunction(s) from electronic devices
(202) operating in a network environment, the method comprising:
a) providing an interactive interface to the device (202) user(s), the interface adapted for allowing a user to detect, select and classify the detected malfunction
b) forwarding a pre classified message towards a diagnostic server [not shown] from the device (202), the message adapted to represent at least a classified malfunction to be repaired;
c) interpreting the pre classified message at the diagnostic server [not shown] for a predefined malfunction;
d) selecting and sending a corresponding repair utility towards the device upon receipt
of pre-classified message , the repair utility being configured to remove received malfunction and ;
e) automatically executing the received repair utility at the device (202), the execution
rendering electronic device (202) free of the detected malfunction(s).
2. A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the detected malfunction has no corresponding repair utility, the method comprises: sending a predetermined message towards the device, the message adapted to provide access details of appropriate service centre(s), the service centre(s) being enabled for optimized removal of the detected malfunction(s).
3. A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the diagnostic server is adapted to store and retrieve multiple repair utilities corresponding to the malfunction(s) to be repaired.
4. A method as claimed in claim I wherein a registration of the device comprises the steps of:
a) registering an online request of a user;
b) allocating a unique service no. to the request , the allocation depending upon the nature of the request and;
c) servicing the device at a service center.
5. A method as claimed in claim 3 wherein the repair utilities are customized software codes adapted to execute automatically on devices to correct detected malfunction(s).
6. A method as claimed in claim 3 wherein the repair utilities are solutions to known malfunctions and/or bugs and to the problems encountered by the device users.
7. A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the repair utilities are pre fed in to the electronic device, the method comprising:
a) detecting a malfunction of the device;
b) referring to pre defined categories of malfunction(s) for determining the detected malfunction type, each category being associated with a predefined identification number;
c) sending a message to a n identification number, the identification no. being associated with the type of detected malfunction;
d) automatically sending the repair utility towards the device on receipt of message, the repair utility being configured to repair corresponding malfunction.
8. A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the repair utilities are provided while purchasing the
electronic device and/or at a predefined website.
9. A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein when the detected malfunction is unique and cannot
be classified, the method comprises:
a) dispatching a predetermined diagnostic utility towards the device;
b) generating a report;
c) storing the malfunction with its corresponding repair utility for future reference, causing the diagnostic step to be avoided for the same malfunction.
10. A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the detected malfunction is application based, the
method comprise the steps of:
a) diagnosing the malfunction;
b) sending a report towards a service center;
c) sending corresponding repair utility for execution on thedevice.
11. A method as claimed in claim 1 wherein the electronic device is a mobile phone or a personal digital assistant etc.
12. A system (201) for automatic detection and removal of malfunction(s) in a network environment, the system comprising:
a) an electronic device (202) configured for detecting and forwarding malfunction(s) present in thedevice;
b) an interactive interface (Fig. 3) over the electronic device (202) , the interface being adapted to allow a user to select and classify a detected malfunction ;
c) at least a diagnostic server (notshown) for receiving messages representing and providing repair utilities corresponding to detected malfunctions, the repair utilities adapted to render electronic device free of detected malfunction(s).

A system as claimed in claim 12 wherein the detected malfunction has no corresponding repair utility, the system comprises: device(s) adapted to receive predetermined message(s), the message(s) providing access details of appropriate service center(s) enabled for optimized removal of detected malfunction(s).
14. A system as claimed in claim 12 wherein the diagnostic server is adapted to store and retrieve multiple repair utilities corresponding to the malfunction(s) to be repaired.
15. A system as claimed in claim 12 wherein the repair utilities are customized software codes adapted to execute automatically on devicesto correct detected malfunction(s).
16. A system as claimed in claim 12 wherein the repair utilities are pre fed in to the electronic
device.
17. A system as claimed in claim 12 wherein the repair utilities are provided while purchasing the
electronic device and/or at a predefined website.
18. A system as claimed in claim 12 wherein the malfunctions are pre-classified in to defined categories , each category being associated with a predefined identification number.
19. A system as claimed in claim 12 wherein when the detected malfunction is unique and cannot be classified, the system comprises:
a) device for receiving a predetermined diagnostic utility;
b) a means for report generation ;
c) diagnostic server for storing corresponding repair utility for future reference, causing the diagnostic step to be avoided for the same malfunction.
20. A system as claimed in claim 12 wherein the detected malfunction is application based the
system comprising:
a) device for receiving corresponding repair utility ;
b) a diagnostic server for diagnosing the malfunction ;
c) a report generation means for forwarding report(s) towards a servicecenter.
21. A system as claimed in claim 12 wherein the electronic device is a mobile phone or a personal digital assistant etc.
22. A system as claimed in claim 12 wherein the repair utilities are solutions to known malfunctions and/or bugs and to the problems encountered bythe device users.
23. A system as claimed in 12 wherein an online request of the user for servicing a user device is
registered by allocating a unique service number, the unique service no. being dependent on the
type of request.
