Abstract: The mechanism is slightly different -the top end of plunger has conical head with 6 degree taper hidden behind the rubber piston. When the drug injected out of syringe ,the plunger is pushed against the needle hub. The needle hub at base has got hollow with 6 degree taper which mates with the conical part at top end of plunger.When the punger is pusehed against the needle hub ,the conical part will mate with hollow at base of needle hub, the needle hub will broken down and will fall back in barrel of syringe, due to this it can not be reused again. Principle use of innovation— 1. To inject drug 2. Take out the blood form body. Principle of invention— This is made of needle hub made from breakable plastics suspended in barrel of syringe .when he drug is pushed out of barrel,the plunger will exert pressure on needle hub from below this will lead to breakage of needle hub at weak point ,needle hub will get retracted in barrel of syringe, so syringe can not be reused again. RETRACTABLE SAFETY SYRINGE PATENT-A1
1. TECHNICAL FIELD:
This invention relates to a safety syringe having manual retracting mechanism for use in medical and dental professionals, physicians, surgeons, or other needle operators might be protected from injury of needle stick after the act of injection of drug. This invention facilitates the manual retraction of needle with needle hub in barrel of syringe after the completion of act of injection.
2.BACKGROUND:
1. There is growing evidence of needle stick injuries in medical professionals which leads to transmission of dieses like hiv, hepatitis and twenty more communicable diseases as a result of needle stick injuries.
2. Person who are in habit of injecting medicine themselves like diabetics are prone to get contracted the diseases due to needle stick injuries and due to recycling of needles getting used again,
3. Following innovation helps in retracting the used needle hub and needle in barrel of syringe so that the needle stick injuries prevented.
4. High cost of safety syringe so can not used extensively.
5. Complicated mechanism so can not be mass produced.
6 Needle can not be separated from needle hub so mat apart from immunization it can not be
used in hospital widely
7. Some amount of residual drug left behind after use.
3.OBJECT OF INVENTION:
1. To reduce the cost of ad syringe without compromising the efficacy.
2. Simple mechanism so can be produced widely
3. Low cost so that it can replace the disposable syringe.
4. Needle can be separated from needle hub so that it can be mated to injection ports , three ways, intravenous catheters. So can be used extensively.
5. No residual drug will left behind after the act of injection.
6. This invention provides the breaking of needle hub with needle which can be retracted in barrel so preventing the needle stick injuries.
4) DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION—
To give above objective, present invention is comprised of Barrel-{B1,B2,B3} ,Plunger [Pl,P2,P3,], Needle hub[ Nl,N2,N3,N4],.[Ml,M2]-mechanism of syringe attach to upper end of plunger,[Ml]—piston made from rubber,[Rl] is neck of mechanism(M2) attaching to plunger.
Manual retractable mechanism is provided to pull the needle hub with needle in syringe barrel. Plunger is provide with the activating piece(Ml) which when mate with needle hub(N4) will fix itself to needle hub with finger pressure on plunger base ,this finger pressure will get transmitted through the activating mechanism to needle hub which will break at weakest point and whole assembly can be retracted in barrel.
Plunger inserted in cylindrical barrel from rear end of barrel, the cylindrical barrel is hallow barrel, in upper part of barrel there is slot with tread(Bl) which allow the needle hub with side wings with tread(N2) to engage with the wall of upper part of barrel which is fixed at that part with glue., in lower part of barrel there is space for injection(B2)..
Piston(Rl) made of elastic material , remain in upper end of plunger , the activating piece (Ml)is front end of plunger has its surface concealed under elastic part of piston(Rl), is conical in shape with six degree taper on it so it fits snugly with the hallow in the center of needle hub which has also six degree taper(N4), so allow both two components fit snuggly with each other.
When in state of injection, upper surface of elastic plunger piston(Rl) will pushed back so that to expose the hidden part of activating mechanism(Ml) at proximal end of plunger which is concealed under rubber piston, during the act of injecting of the drug, the plunger can stably pushed till all medicine is ejected from barrel at top point of barrel,, when in discarding the syringe the plunger is pushed against the top point of barrel, so that the activating piece(Ml) which is concealed under in rubber plunger piston get bared as the piston pushed back, will get engaged with needle hub s hallow part(N4), with this plunger pushed up will lead to breaking of the wings of needle hub(N2) in weakest part, will need to rotate 30 degree and pulled in back in cylindrical barrel, with needle and needle hub can get retracted with the needle thus disabling
the syringe, due the engagement of activating part of plunger with needle hub ,the activating
mechanism, can be broken at neck(M2) so that this will disable the plunger, so barrel and
plunger both can not be reused.
Winged needle hub is made of material which are stiff but breakable, it has got (Nl)needle hub
with wings(N2) which has got threads on end which mates with the threads of upper part of
barrel(Bl). And fixed in place by glue, there is six degree taper in hallow part of needle hub (N4)
which mates with mechanism(Ml),it has got(N4) which mates with the needle has also six
degree taper to attach with needles.
The central hallow of needle hub communicates with the hallow of needle so that the medicines
will pass to and from barrel of syringe.
Articulating mechanism made from (Ml) which is at upper end of plunger, has got six degree
taper allow to hold snuggly with six degree taper of needle hub (N4) ,lie under cover of rubber
piston(Rl)has got central hole allow the mechanism pass through it.
This mechanism mates with (N4) at part of needle hub this allows to transmit the force of
plunger to needle hub, this force break the needle hub at weakest part thus allowing retraction of
needle and broken needle hub.
Plunger is made from plastics like poly propylene has got upper part (Pl),which has got
retracting mechanism at upper end (Ml)also attach to piston (Rl)which is made from rubber ,it
has got pusher rod (P2) and thumb rest(P3).this moves to and fro in barrel allows to suck in and
eject out the medicine in barrel of syringe.
Piston (Rl) made from rubber lie at upper end of plunger ,has got central hole in upper surface
which allows the mechanism hidden behind it to get exposed which the plunger pushed firmly
against upper part of plunger, thus allowing the mating of mechanism with needle hub.
Barrel has got upper part which is threaded which mates with the threaded parts of wings of,
needle hub and (B2)part to hold the medicine.
There is rubber seal below the needle hub made from rubber, closing the upper end of syringe
preventing the leakages of medicine while injecting the medicine.
5) WORKING OF PRESENT INVENTION—
When the needle is inserted in vial or bottle to with draw the drug, it will pass through the needle through the central hallow of needle hub(N4) in syringe barrel (B2),this is achieved by pulling back the plunger in syringe body, while injecting the medicine the plunger is pushed forward in barrel will pushed out the medicine out of barrel, when the ejection of medicine completed the pusher rod further pushed upward so that the mechanism which is hidden behind the piston will get exposed due to retraction of rubber piston, this will allow the mating of needle hub with mechanism ,when further pressure applied will lead to breakage of needle hub at weakest part of wings ,this will lead to separation of needle hub with needle from attachment with barrel, with 30 degree rotation of plunger it can be pulled back in syringe barrel with needle hub and needle, thus this will disable the syringe and with pressure the mechanisms neck can get broken at(M2)and plunger will also get disabled.
The present invention will be apparent in its feature about structure after reading the detailed description of preferred embodiment, and its reference to accompanying drawing.

invention having soft piston(Rl), plunger(Pl,P2.P3) ,cylindrical barrel(Bl,B2,B3) needle hub
with wings(Nl,N2,N3.N4) which are treaded.
9)Where in Needle Hub with wings(Nl,N2,N3,N4) comprised of needle hub with needle , needle hub with wings(Nl) is having central hallow with six degree taper inside which mates itself with the mechanism (Ml),thus help in activating mechanism. The needle hub have side wings (N2) which have threads which attach with threads of the upper part of barrel (Bl) with the help of glue., upper part (N4)which mate with the needle also having six degree taper, it has two wings on either side which are threaded on either side as they engage with threaded part of upper portion of barrel. Central hallow part of needle hub(N4) communicate with hallow part of needle base and central hallow part of needle so as to allow , facilitate space for medicine, it is made from breakable material..
10) Cylindrical Barrel is a hallow cylinder , a space of injection is provided in back rear (B2)part of cylindrical barrel and scale mark taking ml as unit indicating the amount of medicine printed on external surface of cylindrical barrel, cylindrical barrel on upper part(Bl) has threaded part for engaging with threaded wings of needle hub with needle.
1 l)The plunger comprised of a piston(Rl) and pusher rod (P2).
Piston(Rl) made of rubber or elastic material with central hole through which the activating
mechanism of upper part of plunger can be passed when pressed firmly against upper part of
barrel, the piston will get folded on itself and inside the piston the activating mechanism is
concealed.
Plunger rod on upper end(Pl) provided with rubber piston , it has activating mechanism
concealed under it, plunger s rubber piston can get folded on itself so that the activating
mechanism engaged with central hallow(N4) part of needle hub.
P2 is the rod of plunger and it project out of barrel and P3 is thumb rest for pushing or pulling
the plunger.
12) As shown in figure , the Piston(RI) in this embodiment is made from elastic or rubber material piston of upper part of plunger(Pl) ,the length is equal to activating part of plunger mechanisms that the activating part will, get concealed in hallow Part of plunger with central hole in upper part which allow to protrude the activating mechanism through it as the piston when pressed against the top point of barrel the piston get folded on itself like prepuse skin of penis so that the activating part of plunger will engage with central haIlow part of needle hub(N4), when the force applied through the plunger the weak art of wings of needle hub will get break ,this will allow needle with needle hub can get Pulled in cylindrical barrel after 30 degree rotation of plunger,
13). When injecting the medicine ,the front face of piston component with central hole, through this hole the activating mechanism will protrude when the Piston wil1 folded on itseif' when pushed against the upper part of barrel will eject the medicine completely, when discarding the syringe the piston is compressed to break the threaded wing of needle hub at weakest part so that the broken needle hub and needle can be retracted in cylindrical barrel after rotation of plunger 30 degrees.

In conclusion, present invention provides manual mechanism of retraction of needle with
needle hub after injecting the medicine, so that present invention is industrially practicable,
15) It will be apparent to those in skilled in art the variation and modification and changes can be made the elements of present invention without departing from spirit and scope of present invention, all such modification and changes will fall in the scope of this invention.
16) RETRACTABLE SAFETY SYRINGE PATENT--A2 (VARIANT OFA1)
A.WORKING OF PRESENT INVENTION—
When the needle is inserted in vial or bottle to with draw the drug, it will pass through the needle through the central hallow of needle hub(N4) in syringe barrel (B2),this is achieved by pulling back the plunger in syringe body, while injecting the medicine the plunger is pushed forward in barrel will pushed out the medicine out of barrel, when the ejection of medicine completed the pusher rod further pushed upward so that the upper end of plunger is hidden behind the piston , this will allow the pushing of needle hub ,when further pressure applied will lead to breakage of needle hub at weakest part of wings ,this will lead to separation of needle hub with needle from attachment with barrel, needle hub with needle fall back in syringe barrel, thus this will disable the syringe .

C. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PRESENT INVENTION
1.Referring to fig Al showing an embodiment of retractable safety syringe of present invention having soft piston(Rl), plunger(Pl,P2.P3) .cylindrical barreI(Bl,B2,B3) needle hub with wings(Nl,N2,N3.,N4) which are treaded.
2.Where in Needle Hub with wings(Nl,N2,N3,N4) comprised of , needle hub with needle , needle hub with wings(Nl) is having central hallow with six degree taper inside ,thus help in activating mechanism. The needle hub have side wings (N2) which have threads which attach with threads of the upper part of barrel (Bl) , upper part (N2) which mate with the needle also having six degree taper, it has two wings on either side which are threaded on either side(N2) as they engage with threaded part of upper portion of barrel(Bl). Central hallow part of needle hub(N4) communicate with hallow part of needle base and central hallow part of needle so as to allow , facilitate space for medicine, it is made from breakable material..

barrel.
Plunger rod on upper end(Pl) provided with rubber piston,P2 is the rod of plunger and
it project out of barrel and p3 is thumb rest for pushing or pulling the plunger.
5.As shown in figure , the piston(Rl) in this embodiment is made from elastic or rubber material ,piston of upper part of plunger(Pl) ,upper part of plunger mechanisms that the activating part will, get concealed in hallow part of piston when pressed against the top point of barrel, the activating part of plunger will push with central hallow part of needle hub(N3,4), when the force applied through the plunger the weak art of wings of needle hub "will get break ,this will allow needle with needle hub can get fall back in cylindrical barrel..
6. When injecting the medicine ,the front face of piston component ,medicine will eject e completely, when discarding the syringe the piston is compressed to break the threaded wing of needle hub at weakest part so that the broken needle hub and needle can be retracted in cylindrical barrel.
17) Having thus describe the invention, what I CLAIM the new and desires to secured by letter of patent of India are—
. Retractable safety syringe 1) A. syringe which comprised of proximal part which is threaded(Bl) and .needle hub with side wings which are threaded, -it is made from brittle material, it has got central hallow which has six degree taper which communicates with the hallow part of needle allows passing of medicine to and fro from syringe barrel.
2) B. Needle Hub with wings has got wings which has got threads which mates with the thread of upper part of barrel and fixed in place by glue.
The wings are weak in certain part, when the pressure applied these wings will get broken and the needle hub with needle will get separated from barrel, by rotation of plunger whole assembly can be pulled back in syringe barrel in (Al) variant and in (A2) the needle hub will fall back without the help of plunger s activation mechanism.
3) C. In upper part of needle hub has got attachment for needle has got six degree taper which allows this part fixed to needle snuggly.
4) D. It has got rubber seal in lower part which make the proximal part of plunger sealed prevent the leakage of drugs at time of injection.
5) E. Cylindrical Barrel—upper part (Bl)having threaded portion for attaching with the threaded portion of wings of needle hub, lower part(B2) of barrel having space for injection.
6) F. Plunger being inserted in said space -provided for injection of said cylindrical barrel from
rear end of cylindrical barrel, the activating mechanism(Ml) is provided in upper part of
plunger(Pl) hidden behind the rubber piston(Rl), when the plunger pushed up on top point of
barrel, the piston will get folded on itself—retracted thus exposing the activating mechanism.
Activating mechanism will mate with hallow central part winged needle hub, when pressed the
wings will broken at weakest part, the needle hub will get separate from barrel, can be pulled in
cylindrical barrel in (Al) and will fall back in barrel in (A2).
P2 is the rod of plunger larger than the barrel of syringe and P3 is thumb rest allows the plunger to push and pull from syringe barrel.
7) G .Mechanism of syringe is conical part (Ml) at upper part of PI plunger has got neck M2 ,it has got six degree taper for attachment with the hallow of needle hub with which it mates snuggly due to six degree taper to both the components ,this helps in transmitting the pressure of plunger to needle hub to break at weakest point of needle hub.
This mechanism is hidden behind the rubber piston which has got central hole which allows it to pass through it mate to needle hub when the plunger firmly pushed against upper part of barrel so that the piston will get folded on it self.
8) H. Piston -is made from rubber attach to upper end of barrel has got central hole , which has the mechanism hidden behind the piston and central hole allows the mechanism to pass through it and attach to needle hub hallow part.
9) I. Rubber seal is located in lower part of needle hub which close the proximal part of syringe in water tight seal prevents the leakage of medicine.
