Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a novel RNA molecule. An RNA molecule, which is for an RNA interference method using a mutant allele having a point mutation as a target gene, wherein: (1) a base sequence complementary to a coding region of the mutant allele is included; and (2) counting from the most 5'-side base of the base sequence complementary to the mutant allele, (2-1) the 5th or 6th base is a mismatch with the base of the mutant allele, (2-2) the 10th or 11th position corresponds to the position of the point mutation and the 10th or 11th base corresponds to the base included in the mutant allele, (2-3) in the 8th ribonucleotide, the 2' position of a pentose is modified with OCH3, a halogen or LNA, and (2-4) in the 7th ribonucleotide, the 2' position of a pentose is not modified with OCH3, a halogen or LNA. In this RNA molecule, a ribonucleotide may be substituted with a deoxyribonucleotide, etc. The RNA molecule may form a double-stranded RNA together with a complementary strand.
