Road Attribute Estimation System

Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a system (100) and method for estimating attributes of a road. In an implementation, physiological parameter data of plurality of drivers driving a vehicle on the road, is received. The physiological parameter data may correspond to occurrences of spike, above a threshold value, detected in physiological parameter of a driver. For the plurality of drivers detected with the spike in the physiological parameter, operational parameters of the vehicle driven by the plurality of drivers are received. Thereafter, the physiological parameter data and operational parameters of the vehicle are analyzed, and based on the analysis, attributes of the road are estimated.

Specification

Claims:1. A method, comprising:
receiving physiological parameter data of a plurality of drivers driving vehicle on a road, wherein the physiological parameter data corresponds to occurrences of spike, above a threshold value, detected in a physiological parameters of a driver;
for each of the plurality of drivers detected with the spike, above the threshold value, in the physiological parameters, receiving operational parameters of the vehicles corresponding to the occurrences of the spike, above the threshold value, in the physiological parameter;
analysing the physiological parameter data and the operational parameters of the vehicles; and
estimating attributes of the road based on the analysis.

2. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein estimating the attributes of the road comprises identifying region surrounding the road as a dangerous spot when the occurrences of spike, above the threshold value, in the physiological parameters are detected in at least a pre-defined number of drivers among the plurality of drivers.

3. The method as claimed in claim 2, further comprising:
monitoring position of subsequent vehicles moving on the road to determine whether the subsequent vehicles are moving towards the dangerous spot; and
when the vehicles are determined to be moving towards the dangerous spot, sending alerts to drivers of the subsequent vehicles.

4. The method as claimed in claim 1, further comprising storing the physiological parameter data and the operational parameters of the vehicles in a central storage repository.

5. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the physiological parameters of the plurality of drivers comprise at least one of heart rate, oxygen levels, and blood pressure.

6. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the operational parameters of the vehicles include location of the vehicle, speed of the vehicle, position of the braking actuator, and type of vehicle.

7. A system (100), comprising:
a processor (102);
a data acquisition module (112), coupled to the processor (102), to:
receive physiological parameter data of a plurality of drivers driving vehicles on a road, wherein the physiological parameter data corresponds to occurrences of spike, above a threshold value, detected in a physiological parameters of a driver; and
for each of the plurality of drivers detected with the spike, above a threshold value, in the physiological parameters, receive operational parameters of the vehicles corresponding to the occurrences of the spike, above the threshold value, in the physiological parameters; and
an estimation module (114), coupled to the processor, to (102):
analyse the physiological parameter data and the operational parameters of the vehicles; and
estimate attributes of the road based on the analysis.

8. The system (100) as claimed in claim 7, wherein the data acquisition module (112) receives the physiological parameter data from a personal tracker.

9. The system (100) as claimed in claim 8, wherein the personal tracker comprises one of a wearable smart watch, a wearable fitness tracker, and a sensor mounted on the steering of the vehicle.

10. The system (100) as claimed in claim 7, wherein the data acquisition module (112) receives operational parameters of the vehicles from a vehicle interface.

11. The system (100) as claimed in claim 7, wherein the estimation module (114) identifies region surrounding the road as a dangerous spot when the occurrences of spike, above the threshold value, in physiological parameter are detected in at least a pre-defined number of drivers among the plurality of drivers.

12. The system (100) as claimed in claim 11, wherein the estimation module (114):
monitors position of subsequent vehicles moving on the road to determine whether the subsequent vehicles are moving towards the dangerous spot; and
when the vehicles are determined to be moving towards the dangerous spot, sends alerts to drivers of the subsequent vehicles.

13. The system (100) as claimed in claim 7, wherein the physiological parameters of the plurality of drivers comprise at least one of heartbeat, oxygen levels, and blood pressure.

14. The system (100) as claimed in claim 7, wherein the operational parameters of the vehicle comprise at least one of location of the vehicle, speed of the vehicle, type of vehicle.

15. A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions executable by a processing resource to:
receive physiological parameter data of a plurality of drivers driving vehicle on a road, wherein the physiological parameter data corresponds to occurrences of spike, above a threshold value, detected in a physiological parameters of a driver;
for each of the plurality of drivers detected with the spike, above a threshold value, in the physiological parameters, receive operational parameters of the vehicles corresponding to the occurrences of the spike in the physiological parameters above the threshold value;
analyse the physiological parameter data and the operational parameters of the vehicles; and
estimate attributes of the road based on the analysis
