"Roll Spacing Measurement Apparatus"
Abstract: This roll spacing measurement apparatus is provided with a sensor device that measures a spacing between at least a pair of rolls arranged facing each other on opposite sides of a billet passage of a continuous casting machine. The sensor device is provided with: a movable type sensor head having a cylindrical main body section and a head section that is provided in a conical shape while being connected to an upper end of the main body section, with a crest thereof of a curved shape convex towards an upper side roll among the respective rolls; and a cylindrical sensor housing that houses the sensor head. When a lower end of the head section enters an inside of the sensor housing, a reception section serving as a space for receiving a foreign object, is formed between an outer circumferential surface of the lower end of the head section and an inner circumferential surface of an upper end of the sensor housing; and a bottom section of the reception section forms an annular plane in plan view.
