Abstract: ABSTRACT ROTARY DRUM COOKING MACHINE A rotary drum cooking machine is disclosed. The rotary drum cooking machine (100) for cooking of food comprising: a cooking drum unit (200) connected to a geared motor and supported circumferentially with rollers, for axial rotation which helps in uniform mixing and cooking of food ingredients for a given food preparation; a circular lid (300) for the cooking drum unit (200), having opening at the centre, to provide a watertight seal at the juncture between itself and cooking drum unit (200) thereby averts spilling of food ingredients; a positioning unit (400), connected to the cooking drum unit (200), consisting of a positioning shaft connected to a spring locking arm (401), to position the cooking drum unit (200) at pre-determined position slots for different cooking processes as well as dispensing the cooked food; a heating unit (500), connected to the cooking drum unit (200) , to provide heating to the cylindrical surface of the cooking drum unit (200); an ingredient dispensing unit (600), connected to the cooking drum unit (200), comprising at least one dispenser for solid ingredients (601), at least one dispenser for liquid ingredients (602), and at least one dispenser for semi-solid ingredients (603); and a cooking controller unit comprises of plurality of micro-controllers, plurality of sensors, a user assistance unit (700), and a memory unit, wherein the Cooking controller unit is connected to the cooking drum unit (200), the positioning unit (400), heating unit (500), and ingredient dispensing unit (600). Claims:We claim:
1. A rotary drum cooking machine (100) for cooking of food comprising:
a cooking drum unit (200) connected to a geared motor and supported circumferentially with rollers, for axial rotation which helps in uniform mixing and cooking of food ingredients for a given food preparation;
a circular lid (300) for the cooking drum unit (200), having opening at the centre, to provide a watertight seal at the juncture between itself and cooking drum unit (200) thereby averts spilling of food ingredients;
a positioning unit (400), connected to the cooking drum unit (200), consisting of a positioning shaft connected to a spring locking arm (401), to position the cooking drum unit (200) at pre-determined position slots for different cooking processes as well as dispensing the cooked food;
a heating unit (500), connected to the cooking drum unit (200) , to provide heating to the cylindrical surface of the cooking drum unit (200);
an ingredient dispensing unit (600), connected to the cooking drum unit (200), comprising at least one dispenser for solid ingredients (601), at least one dispenser for liquid ingredients (602), and at least one dispenser for semi-solid ingredients (603); and
a cooking controller unit comprises of plurality of micro-controllers, plurality of sensors, a user assistance unit (700), and a memory unit, wherein the Cooking controller unit is connected to the cooking drum unit (200), the positioning unit (400), heating unit (500), and ingredient dispensing unit (600).
2. The rotary drum cooking machine (100) for cooking of food as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cooking drum comprises plurality of attachments on the inner side to evenly mix and cook food ingredients for a given food preparation.
3. The rotary drum cooking machine (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said cooking controller unit controls the rotary drum cooking machine (100) based on a recipe script as pre-configured or based on options selected by the user to cook the food.
4. The automatic food maker as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said sensors can be configured sense various parameters such as quantity of ingredients, time, temperature, and position.
5. The automatic food maker as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said user assistance unit (700) can be configured to display the cooking parameters through a Display Unit, to enable user input through a User Input Unit, and to notify the user of events through a Sound Unit.
6. The automatic food maker as claimed in claim 1, wherein the Memory Unit can be configured to store the pre-configured data or data options as selected by the user.
7. The automatic food maker as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cooking controller unit allows the ingredient dispensing unit (600) to dispense appropriate quantity of ingredients.

The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a rotary drum cooking machine.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
One of the basic challenges of the food retail industry is to maintain hygiene with the consistency in taste and quality. It is also desirable to have nil to minimal the human intervention and to increase the profit margin. The available devices lack automation and have to be operated manually thereby making it difficult maintain the consistency in taste and quality. Food retail industry today has been trying to adapt various methods of work procedures to obtain the same consistency and quality in their every outlet, by adapting the Standard operating Procedure. But, in reality not all employees follow the Standard Operating Procedure meticulously. Stir-fry devices are widely used for producing fried rice, fried noodles, fried curries & fried meat in large quantity for commercial or domestic use. However, the stir-fried foods produced manually is of inconsistent quality due to lack of proper mixing & frying of vegetables, meats with required ingredients under varying temperatures for cooking. Moreover, the efficiency of manual production of these fried foods is very low and consumes longer time for producing the fried foods, when high production of fried foods are in demand.
Hence, the objective of present invention is to design and develop a stir-fry rotary cooking drum machine that solves one or more of aforesaid issues. The present invention solves one or more of the aforesaid issues.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
In an embodiment a rotary drum cooking machine (100) is disclosed. The rotary drum cooking machine (100) for cooking of food comprising: a cooking drum unit (200) connected to a geared motor and supported circumferentially with rollers, for axial rotation which helps in uniform mixing and cooking of food ingredients for a given food preparation; a circular lid (300) for the cooking drum unit (200), having opening at the centre, to provide a watertight seal at the juncture between itself and cooking drum unit (200) thereby averts spilling of food ingredients; a positioning unit (400), connected to the cooking drum unit (200), consisting of a positioning shaft connected to a spring locking arm (401), to position the cooking drum unit (200) at pre-determined position slots for different cooking processes as well as dispensing the cooked food; a heating unit (500), connected to the cooking drum unit (200) , to provide heating to the cylindrical surface of the cooking drum unit (200); an ingredient dispensing unit (600), connected to the cooking drum unit (200), comprising at least one dispenser for solid ingredients (601), at least one dispenser for liquid ingredients (602), and at least one dispenser for semi-solid ingredients (603); and a cooking controller unit comprises of plurality of micro-controllers, plurality of sensors, a user assistance unit (700), and a memory unit, wherein the Cooking controller unit is connected to the cooking drum unit (200), the positioning unit (400), heating unit (500), and ingredient dispensing unit (600).

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In an embodiment, the present invention provides a rotary drum cooking machine (100). According to an embodiment of the present invention, the rotary drum cooking machine (100) for cooking of food comprising: a cooking drum unit (200) connected to a geared motor and supported circumferentially with rollers, for axial rotation which helps in uniform mixing and cooking of food ingredients for a given food preparation; a circular lid (300) for the cooking drum unit (200), having opening at the centre, to provide a watertight seal at the juncture between itself and cooking drum unit (200) thereby averts spilling of food ingredients; a positioning unit (400), connected to the cooking drum unit (200), consisting of a positioning shaft connected to a spring locking arm (401), to position the cooking drum unit (200) at pre-determined position slots for different cooking processes as well as dispensing the cooked food; a heating unit (500), connected to the cooking drum unit (200) , to provide heating to the cylindrical surface of the cooking drum unit (200); an ingredient dispensing unit (600), connected to the cooking drum unit (200), comprising at least one dispenser for solid ingredients (601), at least one dispenser for liquid ingredients (602), and at least one dispenser for semi-solid ingredients (603); and a cooking controller unit comprises of plurality of micro-controllers, plurality of sensors, a user assistance unit (700), and a memory unit, wherein the Cooking controller unit is connected to the cooking drum unit (200), the positioning unit (400), heating unit (500), and ingredient dispensing unit (600).
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking drum comprises plurality of attachments on the inner side to evenly mix and cook food ingredients for a given food preparation.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the said cooking controller unit controls the rotary drum cooking machine (100) based on a recipe script as pre-configured or based on options selected by the user to cook the food.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the said sensors can be configured sense various parameters such as quantity of ingredients, time, temperature, and position.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the said user assistance unit (700) can be configured to display the cooking parameters through a Display Unit, to enable user input through a User Input Unit, and to notify the user of events through a Sound Unit.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the Memory Unit can be configured to store the pre-configured data or data options as selected by the user.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking controller unit allows the ingredient dispensing unit (600) to dispense appropriate quantity of ingredients.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the rotary drum cooking machine (100) comprising a cooking drum unit (200) for stirring ingredients. A heating unit (500), connected to the cooking drum unit (200), for heating. The cooking drum unit (200) comprising a prime mover driven cooking drum assisted by a gearbox. Also consisting the machine is a positioning unit (400) coupled to the cooking drum unit (200) to aid in cooking as well as dispensing the prepared dish from the machine. All the units are synchronized to work together according to the programmed logic that controls electronic components of the cooking controller unit which in turn control the cooking process.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking drum unit (200) comprises one cooking drum for stir frying or cooking the dishes and sautéing them. The cooking drum is coupled to a geared motor to axially rotate it in either direction. The cooking drum is supported circumferentially with rollers during rotation. It includes provisions on the inner side for two or more attachments/blades that are used along with the cooking drum during the dish preparation. The cooking drum is housed inside a covering/casing that also houses other components of the machine. The housing incorporates channels for one or more pipes to dispense any liquid ingredients as per need during the food preparation. The solid & semi-solid ingredients are dispensed through motorized canisters as per the food preparation requirements.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking drum unit (200) is accompanied with a circular lid (300) having opening at the centre, which creates a watertight seal at the juncture between itself and cooking drum. Advantageously, a temperature resistant silicone seal is placed between the circular lid (300) & cooking drum face to avert spillage of food ingredients.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking drum unit (200) axially rotates at a selected position when a recipe is selected from user assistance unit (700), which is followed by addition of one or more liquid ingredients to the cooking drum automatically and manually wherein different cooking processes are performed as programmed. Liquids like oil & water are automatically dispensed as per the program parameters and solid vegetables are added manually as per the food requirements. Advantageously, axial rotation helps in uniform cooking and mixing of ingredients to produce foods of consistent quality.
According to the present invention, the heating unit (500) is connected to the cooking drum unit (200), for heating the cooking drum unit (200) for cooking food. The source of heat for cooking is provided by already known heating source just below the cooking drum and is included in the enclosure surrounding the cooking drum. The heating is provided to the cylindrical surface of the cooking drum. Advantageously, uniform cooking takes place on the cylindrical surfaces providing a larger area and constant temperature over extended periods of time. The temperature sensor reads temperature of the cooking drum unit (200) for maintaining the desired cooking temperature by controlling the heater on & off through a controller by providing temperature signal readings.
According to the present invention, the cooking drum unit (200) is connected to a positioning unit (400). The positioning unit (400) comprises of pre-determined slots to control the position of the cooking drum unit (200) for different cooking processes to cook different dishes as per requirement. The positioning unit (400) consists of a support that holds the cooking drum unit (200) on which the cooking drum is suspended. The tilting is controlled by a shaft connected to a spring locking arm (401). Advantageously, the position of the cooking drum is locked until further position change is done by the user.
According to the present invention, the positioning unit (400) is used to position the cooking drum unit (200) so as to advantageously position the cooking drum for easy removal of dishes with minimal aid.

In the following description, for purpose of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the claimed subject matter. It may be evident however, that such matter can be practiced with these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures as shown in diagram form in order to facilitate describing the invention.
Referring Figure 1 shows a rotary drum cooking machine (100) according to an embodiment of present invention.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
It is apparent that the automatic food maker provides efficient and automatic cooking of the food without or minimal human intervention which makes food quality consistent and hygienic. In addition, the automatic food maker reduces the cost of producing the cooked food, the time to cook food, and serving more customers.
Furthermore, the automatic food maker enables cooking of uniform high quality food with wide range of menu e.g. Fried rice, Fried noodles, Fried curries, All types of rice items, All types of curries & All types of fried meats etc.
