Rotary Joint Assemblies
Abstract: A movable mould-halves assembly for a multi-shot injection moulding machine includes a plurality of mould halves, a rotary table, a movable platen, a back plate, a first fluid source, and a rotary joint assembly. The rotary joint assembly includes a stator and a rotor disposed in the central openings of the rotary table, the back plate, and the movable platen. The stator includes a first stator channel connected to the first fluid source. The rotor is coaxial to the stator and is coupled to the rotary table. The rotor rotates along with the rotary table and relative to the stator. The rotor includes a first rotor channel in fluid communication with the first stator channel. The first rotor channel is connected to the mould halves through a second manifold to transmit the first fluid to the plurality of mould halves.
