ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA rotor of an alternating current power generator for a vehicle in which breakage of lead vires of a field coil duesimple configuration is provided. The lead wires provided at the beginnings and at the ends of wound portions of the field coil of the rotor of the alternating current power generator for a vehicle is led from the field coil along one side surfaces of yokes of a pole core, and connected to connecting terminals of slip lings via hooks respectively by being wound thereon and soldered or welded thereto, and tubular insulating i^ejrter= =r= prc^i-i—d only on the lead wires extending fr— riie £1=1 d coil ro the connecting terminals over the entire leading portions.
ROTOR OF ALTERNATING CURRENT POWER GENERATOR FOR VEHICLE
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
alternating current power generator to be mounted to a vehicle and, more specifically, to a structure of a lead portion of a field coil.
2. Description of the Related Art
An alternating current power generator for a vehicle of this type is used by being mounted to an engine of a vehicle. However, since it is used under extremely severe cc-diticns such as to be subjected to entry of w=ier, s=l~ wa^er or zi:d water through an air intake hole or an exhaust hole, or to be exposed to a high peripheral temperature, surfaces of exposed metal portions of components are coated by an insulating material so as not to cause deterioration insulated portion or a power generation failure, etc. (for example, JP-A-2007-312541 (paragraph [0023] to [0025], Fig. 4 and Fig. 5).
In the alternating current power generator in the related art, a pole core, cooling fans, connecting terminals, lead wires of a field coil and the like are all coated by the insulating material. Therefore, it is wasteful and is difficult to coat the insulating material to minute portions
such as connecting portions between the lead wires of the field coil and the connecting terminals of a slip ring. Consequently, insufficient insulation is resulted and hence there arises a
problem such that the lead wires of the field coil are broker. due ~s -~: —r-t-ri
