Specification

[0001] The present invention relates to a specially designed comb. In particular, the present invention relates to a unique comb with a scalp massager on one side and teeth on the other side.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Generally, hair is made of protein and as such, needs sufficient vitamins and other nutrients for nourishment. Hair oil acts as a replenishing agent, giving hair the nourishment it needs. Moreover, massaging oil into scalp helps open pores and facilitates better oil absorption. Regular oil massages help reverse the damaging effects of chemical and other hair treatments, boost blood circulation, strengthens roots, and promotes hair growth.
[0003] People have been applying oil to the scalp and hair by physical application through hands. However, this method of applying oil in hair is messy as it requires a person to transfer oil from bottle to a bowl and then applying into hair through one’s fingers. In this process there are chances of oil spilling while transferring oil from the bottle to the bowl or when applying directly to the scalp with the oil bottle. It is essential to achieve maximum benefit from the oil massage. The maximum benefit is obtained when massaging is done by applying pressure on the scalp using fingers. This is essentially done to increase the blood circulation to the hair follicles, rejuvenate the roots and nourish the scalp. It is not possible to maintain uniform pressure throughout the massaging of scalp through physical application by hand. Regular oil massages have several proven direct and indirect benefits for the scalp and hair, including increased circulation, deep conditioning, hair growth, relaxation, decreases stress, and more.
[0004] Some combs have roll on balls at the tip of comb teeth for massaging the scalp. While massaging, with application of pressure, the oil is released from the comb teeth. There are chances of oil leakages while dispensing the oil from the comb teeth. The devices in prior art only provides wet oil massage. They do not have any mechanism to regulate oil flow, if a person desires for scalp massage without application of the oil. Further, the disclosed devices face the problem of oil leakages, inconvenient in usage and non-uniform distribution of oil from the comb teeth into the hair.
[0005] In light of the above, there is a need for a solution that provides for detangling of the hair, wet oil massaging and dry massaging, uniform distribution of oil on the scalp, and also prevents oil leakages through oil regulation mechanism.
