Screen Printing Device

Abstract: A screen printing device (Tool) is used for screen printing of parts. Tool is having the facility of holding the parts and screen together. Screen printing is done while Mounting the screen on the top end part and components is placed on the base of the device. This is universal type of screen printing tool. The screen holding parts of the tool can be adjusted as per required size of screen , similarly, components /parts holding part of the tool can also be adjusted as per size of component.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The Tool is useful in printing the nomenclature to parts/components by fixing the
screen with the tool arm and components are fixed at bottom of the device known
to be screen printing tool.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
A lot of components used for various purposes such as level, cards, screen, shield,
cover etc. require nomenclature, marking some shapes on outer surfaces to recognize
or identify. The sense of assigning 5 nomenclature to the part /unit fulfilled the objective
when it is done accurately and clear visibility. Sometimes distance between two or more
nomenclatures, size of letters or styles of the letters accuracy, quality of visibility matters
to users end. So assigned nomenclature to the parts/unit written with free hand or to the
least accuracy of visibility, letter sizes and spaces between letters do not fulfill the
10 objective to match the necessity of doing so. Doing this work with normal fixture or jig
hold not good result and accuracy as minor adjustment of fixtures or components is not
possible with such fixtures. The designed, manufactured and tested screen printing tool
has minor adjustment at base where components are fixed for printing; this adjustment is
done with rollers. This screen printing tool fulfills the objective of printing the
15 nomenclature to part at optimum accuracy.

SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION
In accordance with one aspect of Present invention is to provide facility to write nomenclature to
the parts after holding firmly the part and screen to 5 the screen printing tool.
In accordance with second aspect of Present invention is to provide a flexible screen printing
tool in which screen is adjusted in all three X-Y-Z directions.
In accordance with third aspect of present invention is to provide a screen printing tool on which
parts of different sizes is held up for printing in which parts is firmly help up and adjusted on the
10 base in X-Y direction. The parts can be micro adjusted as per requirement of accuracy of the
parts to be printed.
In accordance with another aspect of Present invention is to provide user friendly screen printing
device.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is that advantage of easily
15 transportable type screen printing tool as some machine tool / heavier parts cannot be moved
easily everywhere.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is that a different size of parts is held
on that screen printing device.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is that screen printing tool is of
20 customization type according to sizes of screen and parts on which printing has to be done.

1. With the help of drawings /sketches the present invention may be well understood very
clearly.
Figure/sketch 1: is base which is used as a base plate of the whole structure which acts as
support plate.

Detail Description:
Screen printing tool is used for printing the nomenclature, levels etc on the parts
/components in industries. Screen is used as a template 5 (Letters perforated /engraved in
the screen, that letter is replicate on the parts) for printing and parts are mounted parallel
to the screen on a fixture. This screen printing tool is of universal type where the sizes of
parts & screen is adjusted as per screen & parts size. Arms of the screen holding
attachment are adjusted according to sizes of screen as true for holding the
10 components. The screen is adjusted in x-y-z direction with the help of arms & column
mounted in screen printing tool. The parts to be assignable some nomenclature are
adjusted in X-Y direction on the base.
1 First part (refer sketch) is “Base plate” on which component / sheet where printing is
required to be done is placed upon. Base plate is horizontal plate having facility to clamp
15 the components or sheet. With of the help of clamp various sizes of parts are being held
up on it.
3 Second part (refer sketch) is “column”. Coulumn is a vertical part which holds the arm
for the mounting to the screen. It provides the required height to the screen for adjusting
the height of the components.
20 Third part (refer Sketch) is “Hinged Arm” which is mounted on the column. It is used for
holding the screen. At the front end of Arm, there is provisioning for holding the different
sizes of the screen and on the other (far end), a load is provided to balance the screen.
Size of Arm can be adjusted lengthwise and widthwise depending upon the size of
screen. It is used for holding various size of the screen.
25 Figure/sketch 1: Is base which is used as a base of the structure on which column, side support
is fixed with screw and bolt. In addition on base guide plate and ball are also assembled
with the help of countersink screw. Plate is also rest upon and slide on ball for micro
adjustment of item to be print with the help of screen.
Figure/sketch 2: Is column in screen printing tool which is mounted on base and used for guided
30 base to move plate by special bolt.
Figure/sketch 3. Is a plate on which part to be printed in placed upon for movement in X-Y
direction with the help of sliding blocks. Plate is part of lowermost base of the whole
structure.
Figure /sketch 4. Is screen holding/fixing block is a rectangular blocks having tapped holes on
35 which screen is fixed and that rectangular blocks are fixed on hinged arm( detail sketch :
05) .
Figure /sketch 5. Is a hinged arm (rectangular plate having holes for assembly of sub parts) on
which screen holder (detail sketch: 04) attachment are mounted. Also it provides a rigid

support for screen holding blocks. Hinged arm is mounted on side support. Hinged arm
in moves upward and downward (+ve and –ve “Z” direction) on side support as per
requirement of distance required between screen and component to be printed with
5 screen.
Figure /sketch 9 is side support which is fixed with base and on side support hinged arm are
assembled.
Figure /sketch 11 is sliding blocks that slides on column slots which help in moving hinged arm
in +ve and –ve “Z” direction.
10 Figure /sketch 13 is a weight used for balancing weight (for screen) mounted on hinge. Basic
use of this weight is to balance the screen weight.
Figure /sketch 16 is rod used for adjusting the hinge on which screen is mounted. It brings the
hinge closer and farther (+ve and –ve “Y direction) as per requirement of screen size to
hold upon.
15 Figure /sketch 17 is adjusting plate act as resting pad for hinged arm. Hinged arm is rest on this
adjusting plate. Adjusting plate is fixed on (Sketch 16) adjusting rod. It is assembled in
rod (sketch 16) from left side.
Figure /sketch 18 is a adjusting rod used for supporting the hinge. It provides constraint to the
movement of hinged arm in downward direction.
20 Figure /sketch 20 is a top support used to cover side support from top.
Figure /sketch 23 is push pad assembled with special bolt (Sketch 24)
Figure /sketch 24 is special bolt used for micro adjustment of plate (Item 3) on which part is
mounted for screen printing. The plate is moved for minor adjustment or fine tuning of
components to be screen printed. Special bolt is assembled with push pad and dowel pin
25 (cylindrical pad) which act as handle to rotate the special bolt.
Figure /sketch 25 is guide plate in which rollers are mounted. Guide plate is assembled with
base (Sketch 1) of the structure.
Figure /sketch 27 is circular ball which is assembled in guide plate. On balls screen is micro
adjusted, slide easily on plane of the plate.
30 Figure /sketch 30 is Figure /sketch 30 is adjusting plate which is assembled with rod (sketch 16)
on right side (sketch 16). This adjusting plate is assembled with adjusting rod .
Figure /sketch 31 is dowel pin or can say cylindrical pin assembled in special bolt detail no 24
used as handle to rotate the special bolt.

Accordingly, the description of the present invention is to be considered as illustrative only and it is for the purpose of teaching those skilled in the art of the best mode of carrying out the invention. The details may be varied substantially without departing from the spirit of the invention, and exclusive use of all modifications which are within the scope of the appended claims is reserved. We Claim
1. Screen printing tool is a device which is used for holding the screen as well as holding the component for screen printing operation. It is of adjustable type in all three axes. (X-Y-Z axis)
2. The screen printing tool of claim 1 wherein, comprises base fixed with column.
3. The screen printing tool of claim 1 wherein base is used for mounting attachments of components to be held on for screen printing.
4. The screen printing tool of claim 1 wherein column is used for mounting the hinge arm
5. The screen printing tool of claim 1 wherein hinge arm is used for assembly of attachments where screen is held up firmly.
6. The screen printing tool of claim 1 wherein sliding blocks assembled with base of tool and used for micro adjustment of components in a plane of base of the tool.
7. The screen printing tool of claim 1 wherein rod are used for holding the screen of different sizes moving the arms in +ve X and –Ve x direction i.e. bringing the arm closer and farther to hold screen as per size.
8. The screen printing tool of claim 1 wherein guide plate is used for encasing or to provide guide to the rollers combines to use for micro sliding and adjusting to components to print for assembled on plate.
9. The screen printing tool further comprises portability of use ( in case of components /machine cannot be transport at required place , the screen printing tool can be transport up to convenience ) also can be customized as per size of screen and components. ,TagSPECI:As per Annexure-II
