Secondary Battery

Abstract: The present invention relates to a secondary battery in which the length of a tab weld part is adjusted to improve safety. A secondary battery according to an embodiment aspect of the present invention may include: an electrode assembly including at least one positive electrode plate provided with a positive electrode tab, at least one negative electrode plate provided with a negative electrode tab, and a separator interposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate; and a case for accommodating the electrode assembly, wherein multiple positive electrode tabs and negative electrode tabs are welded in a state where the tabs having the same polarities overlap each other, to provide a tab welding part and form an electrode lead; and the lengths in the extension direction of the positive electrode tabs or the negative electrode tabs of the tab welding part are constant or different in the thickness direction of the positive electrode tabs or the negative electrode tabs.
