Secondary Battery And Battery Module Including Same

Abstract: A secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly including electrodes and a separator; a battery can having an open upper portion and accommodating the electrode assembly; and a safety vent coupled to the open upper portion of the battery can. The electrode assembly includes an electrode tab that protrudes from one of the electrodes toward the safety vent. The safety vent has a notch portion extending along the circumferential direction, and includes a central portion positioned inside of the notch portion and an outer circumferential portion positioned on the outer edge of the notch portion. The electrode tab is attached to the lower surface of the outer circumferential portion.
