Specification

The present invention relates to a Secured arrangement for charging connectors" and more particularly to charging connectors used for charging electronic gadgets like cell phones, palm top etc.
Currently most of the users carry electronic appliances via; a mobile phone, Palm top etc while traveling. These gadgets are equipped with an internal power source comprising of a rechargeable battery set. The electricity stored in the rechargeable battery set is limited and these gadgets must be periodically charged. External charger connectors (commonly referred as charger unit) provided along with these electronic gadgets (mobile phone, Palm tops etc) charges the rechargeable battery set. The input to the charger unit can be either AC or DC supply. The charger unit is plugged to a charger socket available in the vehicle, which is having DC supply provided by the battery. So whenever the user wanted to charge the gadget, the user plug one end of the charger unit to the gadget and other end to the charger socket. Whenever the person leaves the vehicle he/she removes the gadget from the charger unit leaving the connection with the charger socket. Safe custody of the charger unit is ensured on such type of vehicles since the vehicle are always locked. Even in the case of two wheelers like the new generation scooter type vehicles, built in lockable space is provided which can be used for safe custody of such items. But however in the case of motorcycles lockable space to keep safely the standard item like the mobile, charger unit etc is very limited and not feasible. In such cases the user has to frequently remove the mobile, charger unit etc from the vehicle and carry it along with him/her. Other/vise there is every likely hood of the mobile, charger unit etc being lost. Hence every time the user has to be reminded of that the mobile, charger unit etc needs to be removed from the charger socket, This cannot be ensured on all times.
Hence an object of this invention is to provide a feature in such vehicles, a trigger to remind the user to remove the charger unit from the charging socket for safe custody.
According to this invention, the system consists of a known type of charger unit connected to a charger socket provided in the motorcycle. The system is electrically connected through a circuit to the ignition switch operated by the ignition key. Whenever the ignition switch is switched off for stopping the engine from running and parking the vehicle, a trigger by means of an audible warning or display or both is given which reminds the user and forces him to

remove the charger unit from the socket. Unless and until the charger unit is removed from the socket, the warning device will be continuously in the ON position.

We Claim:
1. A caution indicator for the mobile phone charger of a motor
vehicle, powered by the current source of the vehicle comprising a charger socket connected to the ignition switch of
the vehicle and alarm means connected to the said source; the
ignition switch being operable to energies the alarm means
whenever (1) the ignition switch is turned OFF and (2) the
charging unit of the said phone is connected to the charger
socket.
2. A caution indicator as claimed in Claim 1 wherein the
ignition switch is of the double pole double throw type.
3. A caution indicator for the mobile phone charger of a motor
vehicle, substantially as herein described with reference to, and
as illustrated in, the accompanying drawings
