Security System For A Two Wheeler Or A Three Wheeler Vehicle
Abstract: The present invention is a security system for a vehicle that includes a portable remote device for transmitting an unlock signal to a vehicle, a receiver unit that authenticates the signal and enables an engine control unit (ECU) to permit vehicle operation characterized in that an ignition switch activation, power up the ECU to check for unlocking signal authentication. The enable signal from the receiver unit to the engine control unit (ECU) is further encoded to ensure tamper proof design. The system is provided with alternate operations when the vehicle battery is dead, or the user loses the remote, by allowing the vehicle to start for some duration in former condition and a Limp mode that allows the user to travel to a nearby service station in the later. The system can be implemented in two and three-wheeled vehicles at low-cost and with minimum modifications without compromising on security levels.
