Detailed description of the invention
The foregoing objects of the present invention are accomplished and the problems and shortcomings associated with the prior art, techniques and approaches are overcome by the present invention as described below in the preferred embodiments.
The present invention provides a see-saw lift, which is capable of carrying higher load than conventional construction material carrier such as mini lift. Further, the see-saw lift provides has maximum operating height as compared to existing mini lift.
The present invention is illustrated with reference to the accompanying drawings, throughout which reference numbers indicate corresponding parts in the various figures. These reference numbers are shown in bracket in the following description.
Referring to figure 1, there is shown a see- saw lift in accordance with the present invention. Specifically, the figure 1 shows the see-saw lift (100). The see saw lift (100) includes a base frame (10), a column assembly (20), a rope (30), a first skip unit (40), a second skip unit (50), a winch drum with gear box assembly (60) and a control panel (70).
The base frame (10) provides support to the column assembly (20). The column assembly (20) is a hoist designed for quick installation and provides the structural support for the lift (100). In an embodiment, the base frame (10) and

the column assembly (20) are made of steel or any similar metal which is robust. In an embodiment, the column assembly (20) is provided with adjustable anchoring bracket (not shown), which avoid scaffolding. More specifically, additional winch is also provided for quick and easy installation and dismantling of the column assembly (20). Further, a lift (100) includes an erection boom assembly (80) which helps for the erection of the column assembly (20).
The column assembly (20) includes a top pulley with bracket assembly (12) configured on upper end thereof. The top pulley with bracket assembly (12) houses and supports a top pulley therein. Further, the column assembly (20) includes a bottom pulley with bracket assembly (14) configured on lower end thereof. The bottom pulley with bracket assembly (14) houses a bottom pulley therein.
The top pulley (12) and the bottom pulley (14) operates the rope (30) thereon. In an embodiment, the rope (30) is a steel core wire rope. The rope (30) further operates a first bucket (not shown) and a second bucket (52) for transportation of the construction material in a counter acting direction. In an embodiment, the first bucket and the second bucket are made of metal or other robust material which can handle the construction material therein. Specifically, the skip unit without boom arrangement (40) supports the first bucket thereon and the skip unit with boom arrangement (50) supports the second bucket (52) thereon. More specifically, the two counter acting buckets i.e. the first buckets and the second bucket (52) operates on single column assembly (20) in counter acting direction. Moreover, the winch drum with gear box assembly (60) provides drive for the buckets movement. The winch drum with gear box assembly (60) is supported on a winch chassis (62). Further, a working platform (64) helps operator above to unload the buckets.
In an embodiment, a heavy duty planetary gear box is provided with an electrical motor for the lift (100) to carry load of 500 Kg to 1000 kg per bucket.

Further, a skip units (40, 50) are provided with heavy duty cast iron guide roller with gun-metal bush on each of the brackets for easy transportation and movement of the brackets over the steel rope. The control panel (70) houses the electric switches for control of the lift (100).
In an embodiment, the material is transferred into the first bucket (42) which is at lower end of the column assembly (20). Further, by pressing a push button on pendent, the drive motor is activated by releasing electromagnetic brake (not shown). Specifically, the winch drum (60) fitted with the gear box activates the winch drum (60). The winch drum (60) winds and unwinds the rope (30) simultaneously to move the one bucket in upward direction and another bucket in a downward direction. The power transforms from the electric motor to the skip with help of wire rope.
Furthermore, by pressing push button on a pendant, the bucket (42) is transported to the desired height. The bucket (42) stops near the unloading point of the column assembly (20) which is preset as per requirement. Thereafter, the material from the bucket (42) is unloaded. At every stop of the bucket (42) on the column assembly (20), motor brake activates and keeps the bucket (42) in position by locking a motor shaft.
While the bucket gets unloaded at the top level of the column assembly (20), another bucket (52) at the ground level gets loaded.
Specifically, by pressing push button on the pendent, the ground level bucket (52) is transported upward and the bucket (42) at the top level travels towards ground level and cycle completes.
Moreover, the height setting of the lift (100) can be changed by setting a driven bucket at ground level, for example, the lower limit switch. Thereafter, a driving drum is dismantled from the driven drum. The pendent push button is operated

to take another bucket at desired height. The bolt back is tightened to the driven drum. The empty trial of buckets and the load trial are taken.
The see-saw lift (100) of the present invention provides two buckets i.e. the first bucket (42) and the second bucket (52) for transport of material in counters acting direction on the column assembly (20). This saves time of transportation and material can load into ground level bucket and simultaneously material can unload from the top bucket. Due to this feature, transporting of material is possible within half of the time as compared to conventional tower lift. This helps in increasing efficiency of material handling and accelerates effective transportation at work.
Further, due to counter balancing mechanism of the two buckets (42,52) power requirement of the product is less as compared to the conventional lift which reduces operating cost of the product.
Furthermore, the lift (100) takes less ground space. The gear box arrangement makes uniform travel speed of the skips (40,50). Moreover, it is also possible to operate both the buckets (42) and (52) independently with help of another winch.
The lift (100) may be remotely operated by means of the pendent push button station. Further, safety lock is also provided in case wire rope fails. Platform is provided with guard for unload concreting bucket at required height.
Advantages of the present invention
1. With the lift (100) double work in same time as compared to mini lift can
be performed.
2. The working cost and manpower required for lift (100) is reduced by 50%
due to double buckets.

3. The maximum operating height of the lift (100) is 450 feet.
4. The lift (100) includes electrical brake system.
5. Variable-frequency drive (VFD) installed in the lift (100) provides smooth and safe working.

6. The lift (100) does not require counter weight for balancing the bucket.
7. The lift (100) may be used for carry bricks, concrete blocks, sand, tiles, cement bags, steel bar, centering material, electrical material such as pvc pipe, switch board, wire bundle and plumbing material.
