Abstract: ABSTRACT A sensor mounting tool (10) is provided with; a rail-shaped sensor holder (28) having a first side wall (36) in which a first connection hole (48) is formed; a band part (30) that has a first projection part (64), and that is formed to be wound on the outer peripheral surface (15) of a cylinder tube (14); and a fastening mechanism (32) that is for fastening the band part (30), and that is arranged at a position shifted away from the sensor holder (28) on the outer peripheral surface (15) of the cylinder tube (14 ).

Specification

CLAIMS
Claim 1. A sensor fixture (10, 10a to lOi) for attaching a sensor (16) to an outer peripheral surface of a cylinder tube (14, 98), the sensor fixture comprising:
a rail-shaped sensor holder (28, 28a to 28e) having a sensor insertion groove (42) configured to accommodate and hold the sensor (16) in a position-adjustable manner and further having a first sidewall (36) and a second sidewall (38) facing each other;
a band portion (30, 80, 102, 110, 116, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170) having a band end portion (60, 130A, 140A, 150A, 160A, 170A) configured to be connected to the sensor holder (28, 28a to 28e), the band portion being configured to be wound around the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder tube (14, 98); and
a fastening mechanism (32, 142, 152) disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder tube (14, 98) and at a position shifted from the sensor holder (28, 28a to 28e), the fastening mechanism being configured to fasten the band portion (30, 80, 102, 110, 116, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170);
wherein the first sidewall (36) includes a connection hole (48, 49) configured to receive the band end portion (60, 130A, 140A, 150A, 160A, 170A); and
the band end portion (60, 130A, 140A, 150A, 160A, 170A) includes a protrusion (64) configured to be engaged with an inside surface of the first sidewall (36).
Claim 2. The sensor fixture (10, 10a, 10b) according

to claim 1, wherein:
the band portion (30, 80, 102) includes a first end portion (60) being the band end portion, and a second end portion (62, 82) being another end portion of the band portion (30, 80, 102);
the connection hole (48, 49) is a first connection hole (48, 49);
the protrusion (64) is a first protrusion (64);
the second sidewall (38) includes a second connection hole (50) configured to receive the second end portion (62, 82); and
the second end portion (62, 82) includes a second protrusion (66, 94) configured to be engaged with an inside surface of the second sidewall (38).
Claim 3. The sensor fixture (10) according to claim 2, wherein:
in a state that the sensor (16) is attached to the sensor holder (28), the second end portion (62) interferes with the sensor (16), so that the second end portion is prevented from coming off the sensor holder (28).
Claim 4. The sensor fixture (10) according to claim 3, wherein:
an upper end of the second sidewall (38) includes an overhang portion (44b) protruding inward;
the second connection hole (50) comprises a recessed cutout portion (50A) opening upward;
the overhang portion (44b) is divided by the cutout portion (50A) in a longitudinal direction of the sensor

holder (28); and
the second protrusion (66) includes a pair of engaging protrusions (67) protruding toward both sides in a width direction of the band portion (30).
Claim 5. The sensor fixture (10a, 10b) according to claim 2, wherein:
the second end portion (82) includes a hook portion (90) provided with a fitting groove (88) configured to allow the second sidewall (38) to be inserted and fitted thereinto; and
one of mutually facing wall portions (90a, 90b) of the fitting groove (88) forms the second protrusion (94).
Claim 6. The sensor fixture (10a, 10b) according to
claim 5, wherein:
the hook portion (90) is formed into a U-shape; and an inside surface of the hook portion (90) defines the
fitting groove (88).
Claim 7. The sensor fixture (10a, 10b) according to claim 5, wherein:
at least one of the wall portions (90a, 90b) includes a protrusion (96) protruding toward an inside of the fitting groove (88).
Claim 8. The sensor fixture (10a) according to claim 5, wherein:
an outer peripheral shape of the cylinder tube (14) is substantially quadrangular;

the band portion (80) includes a positioning portion (92) which is formed into a curved shape along an outer peripheral corner portion (15b) of the cylinder tube (14); and
the positioning portion (92) extends from the hook portion (90).
Claim 9. The sensor fixture (10, 10a) according to claim 2, wherein:
an outer peripheral shape of the cylinder tube (14) is substantially quadrangular; and
the second connection hole (50) is provided at an upper portion of the second sidewall (38).
Claim 10. The sensor fixture (10b to 101) according to claim 1, wherein:
another band end portion (114, 130B, 140B, 150B, 160B, 170B) of the band portion (102, 110, 116, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170) is joined to the sensor holder (28, 28a to 28e) on a side opposite to a side where the first sidewall (36) is located in the sensor holder (28, 28a to 28e).
Claim 11. The sensor fixture (10c, lOe to lOh) according to claim 10, wherein:
the sensor holder (28a) includes a protruding piece (112, 136) protruding laterally from a holder main body (29) having the first sidewall (36) and the second sidewall (38); and
the other band end portion (114, 130B, 140B, 150B) is joined to the protruding piece (112, 136).

Claim 12. The sensor fixture (10c) according to claim 10, wherein:
an outer peripheral shape of the cylinder tube (14) is substantially quadrangular;
the sensor holder (28a) includes a bottom wall (34) connecting lower ends of the first sidewall (36) and the second sidewall (38); and
the protruding piece (112) includes a slant portion (112a) slanted relative to the bottom wall (34) and is configured to abut against an outer peripheral corner portion (15b) of the cylinder tube (14).
Claim 13. The sensor fixture (10) according to claim 2, wherein:
the sensor holder (28) includes a bottom wall (34) connecting lower ends of the first sidewall (36) and the second sidewall (38), and a flange portion (40) protruding laterally from a side of the bottom wall (34) where the first sidewall (36) is located;
the first protrusion (64) includes a pair of engaging protrusions (65) protruding outward in a width direction of the band portion (30);
the first connection hole (48) includes an insertion hole (48a) having an opening width configured to allow a portion of the first end portion (60) that is provided with the first protrusion (64) to be inserted thereinto, and an engaging hole (48b) provided at a position spaced farther from the bottom wall (34) than the insertion hole (48a) and having an opening width narrower than a width of the portion

of the first end portion (60) that is provided with the first protrusion (64); and
the fastening mechanism (32) includes a female screw portion (70) formed in the first end portion (60), and a fastening screw (72) configured to be screw-engaged with the female screw portion (70) and abut against the flange portion (40).
Claim 14. The sensor fixture (10b to lOe, lOg to 101) according to claim 10, wherein:
the sensor holder (28, 28a, 28b, 28d, 28e) includes a bottom wall (34) connecting lower ends of the first sidewall (36) and the second sidewall (38) and a flange portion (40, 172) protruding laterally from a side of the bottom wall (34) where the first sidewall (36) is located;
the protrusion (64) includes a pair of engaging protrusions (65) protruding outward in a width direction of the band portion (102, 110, 116, 130, 150, 160, 170);
the connection hole (48, 49) includes an insertion hole (48a) having an opening width configured to allow a portion of the band end portion (60, 130A, 150A, 160A, 170A) that is provided with the protrusion (64) to be inserted thereinto, and an engaging hole (48b) provided at a position spaced farther from the bottom wall (34) than the insertion hole (48a) and having an opening width narrower than a width of the portion of the band end portion (60, 130A, 150A, 160A, 170A) that is provided with the protrusion (64); and
the fastening mechanism (32, 152) includes a female screw portion (70) formed in the band end portion (60, 130A, 150A, 160A, 170A), and a fastening screw (72) configured to

be screw-engaged with the female screw portion (70) and abut against the flange portion (40, 172).
Claim 15. The sensor fixture (10) according to claim 13, wherein:
the band end portion (60) includes a nut member (54) having the female screw portion (70) formed therein; and
the nut member (54) includes the pair of engaging protrusions (65).
Claim 16. The sensor fixture (lOe) according to claim 1, wherein:
the fastening mechanism (32) includes a nut member (138) provided at the band end portion (130A) and having a female screw portion (70) formed therein, and a fastening screw (72) configured to be screw-engaged with the female screw portion (70);
the nut member (138) includes a plate-shaped base portion (54a) having the female screw portion (70) formed therein, the protrusion (64) provided at one end portion of the plate-shaped base portion (54a), and an extending portion (139) extending from another end portion of the plate-shaped base portion (54a);
the band portion (130) includes a belt-shaped band main body (52) having flexibility; and
one end portion of the band main body (52) is fixed to the extending portion (139).
Claim 17. The sensor fixture (lOf) according to claim 1, wherein:

the band portion (140) includes a belt-shaped band main body (52) having flexibility; and
the fastening mechanism (142) includes a nut member (146) provided between one end portion and another end portion of the band main body (52) and having a female screw portion (146a) formed therein, and a fastening screw (72) configured to be screw-engaged with the female screw portion (146a) and abut against a corner portion of the cylinder tube (14) having a rectangular shape in cross-section.
Claim 18. The sensor fixture (lOg) according to claim 1, wherein:
the band portion (160) includes a belt-shaped band main body (52) having flexibility;
the fastening mechanism (152) includes a first fastening mechanism (152A) and a second fastening mechanism (152B);
the first fastening mechanism (152A) includes a first nut member (54) provided at the band end portion (140A) and having a first female screw portion (70) formed therein, and a first fastening screw (72a) configured to be screw-engaged with the first female screw portion (70); and
the second fastening mechanism (152B) includes a second nut member (146) provided between one end portion and another end portion of the band main body (52) and having a second female screw portion (146a) formed therein, and a second fastening screw (72b) configured to be screw-engaged with the second female screw portion (146a) and abut against a corner portion of the cylinder tube (14) having a rectangular shape in cross-section.

Claim 19. The sensor fixture (lOh) according to claim 1, wherein:
the band portion (160) includes a belt-shaped band main body (52) having flexibility, and a stopper (162) protruding from an inside surface of the band main body (52) and configured to abut against an outer peripheral surface of the cylinder tube (98).
Claim 20. The sensor fixture (lOi) according to claim 1, wherein:
the band portion (170) includes a belt-shaped band main body (52) having flexibility;
the sensor holder (28e) includes a bottom wall (34) connecting lower ends of the first sidewall (36) and the second sidewall (38), and a flange portion (172) protruding laterally from a side of the bottom wall (34) where the first sidewall (36) is located, the flange portion being slanted relative to the bottom wall (34);
the fastening mechanism (32) includes a nut member (174) provided at one end portion of the band main body (52) and having a female screw portion (70) formed therein, and a fastening screw (72) configured to be screw-engaged with the female screw portion (70); and
in a state that the nut member (174) is engaged with the first sidewall (36), that the fastening screw (72) is screw-engaged with the nut member (174), and that the fastening screw (72) abuts against the flange portion (172), a portion (52d) of the band main body (52) that is located between a portion (52b) thereof provided with the nut member

(174) and a portion (52c) thereof wound around an outer peripheral surface of the cylinder tube (98) is slanted relative to a line (L) parallel to an axis (a) of the fastening screw (72).
