Separation System And Separation Method

Abstract: According to the present invention, PET and foreign matter are appropriately separated. A separation system comprises: a storage part that stores a solution containing a PET solution obtained by dissolving polyethylene terephthalate in a carboxylic acid-derived monomer, and impurities which are components other than polyethylene terephthalate, and that separates the solution into the PET solution and the impurities through gravity; a discharge part for discharging the separated impurities from the storage part; and a reaction part in which the separated PET solution and a reaction solvent, which reacts with the polyethylene terephthalate, are introduced to depolymerize the polyethylene terephthalate in the PET solution.
