Abstract: Disclosed are a separator and an electrochemical device comprising same, the separator comprising: a porous polymer substrate; and a porous coating layer positioned on at least one surface of the porous substrate and comprising a plurality of inorganic particles and a binder polymer positioned on some or all of the surfaces of the inorganic particles so as to connect and fix the inorganic particles to each other, wherein the binder polymer comprises core-shell polymer particles having a core part and a shell part surrounding the core part, wherein a core part polymer included in the core part, and a shell part polymer included in the shell part have mutually different glass transition temperatures, and a polymer, formed from components capable of electrolyte elution which are connected by chemical bonding, is grafted onto the surface of the shell.
