Separator For Electrochemical Device, Electrode Assembly Comprising Same, And Secondary Battery

Abstract: The present invention relates to a separator for an electrochemical device, an electrode assembly comprising same, and a secondary battery. The separator for an electrochemical device, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a porous polymer substrate; and a porous coating layer formed on at least one surface of the porous polymer substrate and including a binder polymer and inorganic particles, wherein the thickness of both ends in the transverse direction (TD) of the separator is greater than the thickness of a central portion in the TD thereof. By adjusting the thickness of both ends in the TD of the separator, upon adhesion between the separator and electrodes, the separator according to the present invention prevents the occurrence of insufficient adhesion at both ends in the TD and can exhibit uniform adhesion.
