Abstract: A shift rail interlock assembly (100) for a transmission includes a shift rail defining a laterally extending hole (122) and a longitudinally extending hole (124). The longitudinally extending hole (124) includes a first portion (132) extending from a first end surface (118) of the shift rail to a first longitudinal side (134) of the laterally extending hole (122). Furthermore, the longitudinally extending hole (124) includes a second portion (136) extending from a second longitudinal side (138) of the laterally extending hole (122) toward a second end surface (120) of the shift rail. Moreover, the shift rail interlock system (100) includes an interlock pin (104) positioned within the laterally extending hole (122). Additionally, the shift rail interlock system (100) includes an interlock rod (126) is positioned within and extending through an interlock pin hole (128) defined by the interlock such that a first end (148) of the interlock rod (126) is positioned within the first portion (132) of the longitudinally extending hole (124) and the second end (150) of the interlock rod (126) is positioned within the second portion (136) of the longitudinally extending hole (124).
