Shock Absorption Member

Abstract: Provided is a shock absorption member comprising: a first cross-section which is perpendicular to the axial direction of the shock absorption member; and a second cross-section which is defined by extension lines of a plurality of sides in the first cross-section. The first cross-section has a shared vertex which is shared with the second cross-section and a recessed groove which is positioned so as to correspond with a vertex of the second cross-section. The recessed groove has a first inflection point, which is a vertex having an interior angle of greater than 180°, and a second inflection point which is a vertex having an interior angle of less than 180°. In a region of at least part of the first cross-section, the first inflection point and the second inflection point are disposed alternatingly along the peripheral direction of the first cross-section. The interior angle of at least one vertex of the first cross-section excluding the first inflection point and the second inflection point is not less than 100°. The first cross-section does not have a portioning wall therein.
