“Shroud Assembly For Gas Turbine Engine”

Abstract: ABSTRACT Shroud assemblies (100) for gas turbine engines (10) are provided. A shroud assembly (100) includes a hanger (104) having a forward hanger arm (162), a rear hanger arm (164), and a hanger body (160) extending between the forward hanger arm (162) and the rear hanger arm (164). The shroud assembly (100) further includes a shroud (102) having a forward surface (112), a rear surface (114), and an inner surface (116) and outer surface (118) extending between the forward surface (112) and the rear surface (114), the outer surface (118) radially spaced from the inner surface (116), the shroud (102) connected to the hanger (104). The shroud assembly (100) further includes a support member (200) positioned axially forward of the forward hanger arm (162), the support member (200) having a radially outer portion (2020) connected to the forward hanger arm (162) and a radially inner portion (204) axially spaced from the shroud (102) such that a gap (220) is defined between the radially inner portion (204) and an axially adjacent surface of the shroud (102).
