PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification particularly describes the invention and the
manner in which it is to be performed.


FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention is related to vehicles assembly system and more particularly this invention is related to the side body protector mounting clip assembly for vehicles.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
Generally various types of mounting means are used to mount the body side protectors of vehicles in order to prevent the body of vehicles from scratches, dent and side damage in parking lot from opening of adjacent vehicle doors.
To fix or to mount these side protectors various mountings means are provided on the inner side to the side protectors to which the clip is fixed and the said clip is inserted to the mounting holes provided on the body of the vehicles to fix the said side protectors in its proper positions. The well known fitment method of Body Side Protector is '3M Tape' or Plastic Clip' or 'Screw Mounting' But these protectors having limited effect or not effective.
For 3M tape fitment cycle time is more due to the cleaning of panel surface, removal of glue protection paper and fitment by using guiding fixtures. After some time due to the heat, vibration and other atmospheric effect the gluing tape peel off and body side protector falls down.
For Plastic Clip, the cross section of Body Side Protector should be more for the packaging point of view. This brings some restrictions on styling or we have to give depression on Door Panel which will be visible for 'without Body Side Protector Version'. In this case the Clip should be located exactly in the relation of Body Side Protector and Door Panel, by which exact matching with Door Panel can be achieved. Any variation in the parts leads into mismatch of body side protector edges and panel.


OBJECT OF INVENTION
The main object of the present invention is to provide an improved side body protector mounting clip assembly for vehicles.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an improved method of mounting of side body protector mounting clip assembly for vehicles.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide and improved side body protector mounting clip assembly for vehicles which is simple in construction and easy to mount and assemble to the vehicle body.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION
Side body protector mounting clip assembly comprises; locking surface to prevent the falling of the said clip inside the body of vehicles, inside resting surface to avoid the gap between the said clip and the said body protector, outside resting surface to avoid the gap between the said clip and the said body protector, body resting surface for assembly with the body of vehicles, entry cutout edge for easy insertion of the said clip in to the said body of the vehicle, locking cutout edge to prevent longitudinal movement of the said clip, side body protector locking means, wherein said side body protector means comprises; lug portion provided on the inner side of body side protector, taper portion provided on the top surface of the said lug portion for easy clip insertion, step portion provided on the said lug portion to lock the locking cutout edge of said clip, inside resting face for resting said inside resting surface of said clip, groove portion to insert the said clip, outside resting face for resting said outside resting surface of said clip, locking face for engaging with the said locking surface of said clip and cutout portion on the body of the vehicle for facilitating the insertion of the said side body protector mounting assembly for final fitment.

Side body protector mounting clip assembly, in accordance with this invention, wherein said clip comprises rectangular slot disposed on the said body resting surface.
Side body protector mounting clip assembly, in accordance with this invention, wherein said rectangular slot starts at entry cutout edge and ends at locking cutout edge of said side body mounting clip which facilitates the lug portion provided on the side body protector.
Side body protector mounting clip assembly, in accordance with this invention, wherein cutout portion comprises first side, second side and third side.
Side body protector mounting clip assembly, in accordance with this invention, wherein dimension of said first and second side of cutout portion is greater than the corresponding dimension of the said clip.
Side body protector mounting clip assembly, in accordance with this invention, wherein dimension of said third side of said cutout portion is greater than the dimension of said lug portion of said body side protector.
Method of assembly of side body protector mounting clip comprises; inserting said locking surface of said clip to the said groove portion of locking portion of said body side protector, pushing the said clip to the inside of said groove , locking said clip locking surface with the body side protector, locating the said clip on the body cutout of said vehicle body, inserting the said clip inside the said body cutout of vehicle body, sliding the said clip inside the said body cutout of vehicle body.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION

In accordance with this invention side body protector mounting clip assembly for vehicles comprises; locking surface (1) to help avoid the falling of the said clip inside the body of vehicles, inside resting surface (2) to avoid the gap between the said clip and the said body protector, outside resting surface (3) to avoid the gap between the said clip and the said body protector, body resting surface (4) for assembly with the body of vehicles, entry cutout edge (5) for easy insertion of the said clip in to the said body of the vehicle, locking cutout edge(6) to prevent longitudinal movement of the said clip,
Side body protector locking means comprises; plastic lug ( 7), taper portion ( 8) for easy clip insertion, step portion ( 9) to lock the locking cutout edge (6) of said clip, inside resting face (10 ) for resting said inside resting surface of said clip, groove portion (13) to insert the said clip, outside resting face ( 11) for resting said outside resting surface of said clip, locking face (12 ) for engaging with the said locking surface of said clip.
Method of assembly of side body protector mounting clip comprises; inserting said locking surface of said clip to the said groove portion of locking portion of said body side protector, pushing the said clip to the inside of said groove , locking said clip locking surface with the body side protector, locating the said clip on the body cutout of said vehicle body, inserting the said clip inside the said body cutout of vehicle body, sliding the said clip inside the said body cutout of vehicle body.

Now referring to the figure, In accordance with this invention, side body protector mounting clip assembly for vehicles comprises; locking surface (1) to help avoid the falling of the said clip inside the body of vehicles, inner resting surface (2) to avoid the gap between the said clip and the said body protector, outer resting surface (3) to avoid the gap between the said clip and the said body protector, body resting surface (4) for assembly with the body of vehicles, entry cutout edge (5) for easy insertion of the said clip in to the said body of the vehicle, locking cutout edge(6) to prevent longitudinal movement of the said clip.
The said clip comprises rectangular slot on the body resting surface (4).
The said rectangular slot starts at entry cutout edge (5) and ends at locking cutout edge (6) of said side body mounting clip which facilitates the lug portion (7) provided on the side body protector.
Side body protector locking means comprises; lug portion ( 7) on the inner side of the said body side protector, taper portion (8 ) is provided on the top surface of the said lug portion (7) for easy clip insertion, step portion (9 ) provided on the said lug portion (7) to lock the locking cutout edge (6) of said clip, inside


resting face (10 )provided on the inner side of the said body side protector for resting said inner resting surface(2) of said clip, groove portion(13) provided on said side body protector to insert the said clip, outside resting face (11) provided on the said side body protector for resting said outer resting surface(3) of said clip, locking face (12 ) for engaging with the said locking surface(l) of said clip.
The body of vehicle comprises slot (14) for inserting the said side body protector assembly which comprises first side (15) and second side (16) for said clip to be inserted and dimension of said first and second side should be greater than the dimension of the corresponding side of said clip.
Said slot (14) of body of vehicle comprises third side (17) which engages with the said lug portion (7) of side body protector and the dimension should be greater than the dimension of said lug portion provided in the body side protector.
Method of assembly of side body protector mounting clip comprises; inserting said locking surface of said clip to the said groove portion of locking portion of said body side protector, pushing the said clip to the inside of said groove , locking said clip locking surface with the body side protector, locating the said clip on the body cutout of said vehicle body, inserting the said clip inside the said body cutout of vehicle body, sliding the said clip inside the said body cutout of vehicle body.
