THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATION PARTICULARY DESCRIBES THE INVENTION AND THE MANNER IN WHICH IT IS TO BE PERFORMED.
Field of the Disclosure:
The present disclosure generally relates to lighting systems of a vehicle.
Particularly, the present disclosure relates to side lights for a two wheeled vehicle.
Background:
Lighting system of a vehicle consists of lighting and signalling devices disposed on a front portion, side portions and a rear portion of the vehicle. Lighting system provides illumination for a driver to operate the vehicle safely during reduced visibility. A signalling system is provided to increase the conspicuity of the vehicle, and to identify vehicle's presence, position, size, direction of travel, and driver's intentions regarding change in direction and reduction in speed of travel by braking.
Although, the prior art systems are useful to operate a vehicle safely during reduced visibility and to increase conspicuity of a vehicle, these traditional lighting systems have some limitations. For example, these traditional lighting systems are generally not useful when an engine of the vehicle, more specifically of a two wheeled vehicle, is OFF during night-time and when there is a dark surrounding. More specifically, in such cases, area near footsteps of a driver and a pillion rider needs to be carefully watched for observing harmful objects such as stones, insects, ditches, uneven surfaces of road and the like.
"Courtesy Lights" as envisaged in four wheeled vehicles illuminate the surrounding field of four wheeled vehicles. The "Courtesy Lights" also assist a driver during slow manoeuvres, e.g. in a parking garage, by illuminating
obstacles and pedestrians. Moreover, the "Courtesy Lights" improve pedestrian safety and minimize vehicle damage risk.
Accordingly, there is need of a side lighting system for a vehicle; more particularly, for a two wheeled vehicle that illuminates area near footsteps of a driver and/or a pillion rider. Also, there is need of a side lighting system for a vehicle, more particularly, for a two wheeled vehicle that provides illumination near footsteps of a driver and/or a pillion rider when an engine is OFF and / or when the speed of vehicle drops below a predetermined value. Further, there is need of a side lighting system for a vehicle, more particularly, for a two wheeled vehicle that provides illumination at sides of a vehicle in dark surroundings to facilitate minor vehicle repairs including wheel removal for repair of puncture and the like.
Objects:
Some of the objects of the system of the present disclosure, which at least one embodiment herein satisfies, are as follows:
It is an object of the system of the present disclosure to ameliorate one or more problems of the prior art or to at least provide a useful alternative.
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a side fighting system for a vehicle, more particularly, for a two wheeled vehicle that provides illumination near footsteps of a driver and/or a pillion rider.
Also, an object of the present disclosure is to provide a side lighting system for a vehicle, more particularly, for a two wheeled vehicle that provides
illumination near footsteps of a driver and/or a pillion rider when an engine is OFF.
Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a side lighting system for a vehicle, more particularly, for a two wheeled vehicle that provides illumination near footsteps of a driver and/or a pillion rider when the speed of the two wheeled vehicle falls below a pre-determined value.
Additionally, an object of the present disclosure is to provide a side lighting system for a vehicle, more particularly, for a two wheeled vehicle that provides illumination at sides of a vehicle in a dark surrounding for minor vehicle repairs including wheel removal for repair of puncture and the like.
Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a side lighting system for a vehicle, more particularly, for a two wheeled vehicle that is cost effective.
Moreover, an object of the present disclosure is to provide a side lighting system for a vehicle, more particularly, for a two wheeled vehicle that provides illumination in an area where ladies dismount and put their feet on ground.
Other objects and advantages of the system of present disclosure will be more apparent from the following description when read in conjunction with the accompanying figures, which are not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure.
