Description:BACKGROUND
Field of the invention
[001] Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to a vehicle member and particularly to a side mirror assembly for vehicles.
Description of Related Art
[002] India has a second largest road network in the world with over 5.4 million kms of road network. Highways consist of almost 20% of this whole road network that means connecting roads are used mostly by common man that is a main reason for road congestion. Metropolitan cities face a heat of this congestion mostly in terms of traffic. Travelling using own vehicle in these congested roads are itself a huge task. The worst part is when one has to travel through the vehicle in bad weather as it would be very difficult to keep track of the vehicles nearby using side view mirrors. In general, the side view mirrors offer broader viewing angles, however there are certain limitations to a whole assembly of the side view mirrors, as a driver needs to lurk up and down to see the vehicles approaching behind.
[003] Moreover, bad weather conditions such as, fog and mist can introduce a great danger for the driver as it is nearly impossible to tilt side ways to check for the nearby vehicles. Further, the conventional side view mirrors are not user friendly as they do not come up with any type of adjustment mechanism where the driver can adjust mirrors according to their height.
[004] There is thus a need for an adjustable side mirror assembly that can administer the aforementioned issues in a more efficient manner.
