Siloxane Based Nano Hybrid Pour Point Depressant

Abstract: A compound that acts as a pour-point depressant to improve flow properties of waxy crude oils and crude derived oils is disclosed. The compound is a hydrophobic siloxane nanoparticle. The hydrophobic siloxane nanoparticle comprises a distributed network of siloxanes and long alkyl hydrocarbon chains comprising functional methyl groups, represented in formula I.
