Simple Process Modifications For Spirality Correction
Abstract: ABSTRACT An optimised process controlling the material parameters and process parameters affecting the spirality, optimising the same; reducing, controlling and maintaining optimum spirality level in the fabric i.e., <5%; by passing the tubular knitted fabric after dyeing through modified Balloon padding wherein wet stretching and over feeding are eliminated; the fabric so obtained put through a Spirality correcting De- twisting system which reduces or eliminates the spirality (dimensional distortion) in the weft knitted fabrics; the said de-twisting done by passing the fabric through de-twisting rollers in clock wise or anti clock wise directions, based on the spirality in the fabric; the said fabric taken out and plaited, thereby efficiently using the de-twisting system along with optimized parameters in all other process, resulting in the spirality of the fabric consistently maintained less than 5%.
