Abstract: In the present invention a single valve controls the suction stroke, compression stroke, power stroke and exhaust stroke. This valve having a cylinder attached with a conventional valve on one side. Cylinder having openings which are matching with the exhaust port during up and down motion. The conventional valve controls the exhaust port. The main benefit of present invention is that we can increase the length of the powerstroke in comparison of compression stroke. Therefore, it is more efficient than the conventional two stroke and four stroke internal combustion engine.
This invention relates to two-stroke internal combuston engine. It has one valve which controls inlet and outlet flow of fresh air and exhaust gasses.
Background of invention with regards to the drawback associated with the known arts
There are two types of engine used in automobile industry called four stroke and two stroke internal combuston engine. Four stroke engines used for high horse power. Two stroke engine used for low horsepower.
Following are the main disadvantages of two stroke engines:-
There is no proper lubrication system in two stroke engine therefore the parts of engine wear and tear a lot faster.
Without proper lubrication system the lubricating oil is mixed with fuel. This make engine running cost expensive and made polluting in comparison with four stroke engine. Two stroke engine do not follow the standard of local authority. Therefore two stroke engines out from the race.
Two-stroke engine do not use fuel efficiently.
Some fuel with fresh charge get lost with exhaust gasses.
Object of Invention
The principal object of this invention is to overcome the drawback of two strokes engines with its
advantages.
It has the proper lubrication system same as provided in conventional four stroke engine. Life of present engine is same as conventional four stroke engine.
It has only one valve therefore it consume half energy in operation of valve if compaired with the four stroke engine.
It has the same power weight ratio as conventional two stroke engine.
It save the lubricating oil mixed with fuel in convention two stroke engine.
It save the wear and tear due to inlet and outlet port.
This engine is able to follow the latest envirement norms.
In this engine the valve timing adjusted in same manner as the ports opened and closed in two stroke engine.
The Summary of Invention
Present invention has little changes in the present four-stroke engine. It has a valve move in a small cylinder. This valve control both function that is intake fresh charge and exhaust the burnt gasses at the same time like two stroke internal combuston engine.
This valve in a cylindrical shape has traditional valve on one side. When it moves up and down it open the exhaust port first near bottom dead centre and inlet port after some time. Similarly close the inlet port first and exhaust port after that. This valve work same as inlet port and exhaust port works in conventional two stroke engine. At top dead centre fuel injected. After burning of fuel the engine gererate the power.
Detail description of the invention
The present invention having a valve designed to control the both operation that is intake and exhaust of gases. Valve open 15° before bottom dead centre for exhaust gasses. At bottom dead centre the valve, open the entry port for fresh air fuel mixture like fuel-injected engine or the carburetor based engine accordingly. After 60° from bottom dead centre inlet valve closed and exhaust valve also closed after 75° from bottom dead centre. The difference between opening and closing of exhaust valve and inlet valve remain same. This difference can be decided before manufacturing of engine and can not changed after completion of casting of cylinder head. The timing and duration of exhaust valve opening and closing can changed after assembling of engine. This flexibility gives the vide options to designer to design the engine for maximum fuel efficiency or maximum torque.

8 Detail description of the invention with reference to the drawing
The present invention is a single valve two stroke internal combustor engine. The working details
is explained below with reference to the drawings.
Drawing 1 of .3
The piston (2) start to move from bottom dead centre (9) to top dead centre (7) in cylinder (1)
When it reached at 10 the inlet valve (6) closed. When it reached at 11 exhaust valve closed. After
closing of inlet port (3) and exhaust port (4) the air is compressed. At top dead centre (7) the fuel
has injected. The burnt gasses push the piston (2).
Drawing 2 of 3
After power stroke as soon as the piston reached at 8 the valve (6) open the exhaust port (4) and
burnt gasses goes out. At bottom dead centre (9) the valve open the inlet port (3) for fresh air.
Drawing 3 of 3
It shows the valve timings. In this drawing we can see that compression stroke (11-7) is short in
comparision of power stroke (7-8). Therefore it provide more time for burning of gasses and
converttttt more energy into mechanical energy than conventional two stroke or four stroke
internal combuston engine.
WE CLAIM
A single valve two stroke internal combustion engine having single valve mounted in the head of the engine which controls the suction stroke .compression stroke, power stroke and exhaust stroke. A single valve two stroke internal combustion engine as claimed in claim (1) having single cylindrical valve attached with conventional valve on one end having openings for intake of fresh air.
