Technical Field
[OOOl] The present invention relates to a sinter cake
support stand which is used in a downward suction-type
sintering machine which produces sintered ore, wire for
10 overlay welding use which is used when forming a overlay
welding part of this sinter cake support stand, and
overlay welding metal.
Background Art
15 [0002] In the past, as the material which was charged
into a blast furnace of an ironmaking plant, sintered
ore, which was comprised of powder iron ore or other
iron-bearing material, limestone or other secondary
material, and powder coke or other solid fuel sintered
20 together, has been used. As the means for producing this
sintered ore, a downward suction-type sintering machine
was employed which loaded the sintering material onto a
sintering pallet truck, ignited the solid fuel in the
surface layer, moved the sintering pallet truck while
25 creating a down draft from the sintering pallet truck so
as to make the combustion point of the charged material
layer in the sintering pallet move and thereby make the
combustion of the material progress and produce sinter
cake.

sintering machine, there was the problem that due to
the weight of the sinter cake which was produced at the
top part side in the process of progression of the
sintering of the charged material layer in the sintering
35 pallet, the sintering material which was positioned at
the bottom side was compressed and became higher in bulk
density, so the porosity fell and the sintering could not

CLAIMS
Claim 1
A sinter cake support stand which is arranged on a
5 sintering pallet of a downward suction-type sintering
machine which produces sintered ore,
said sinter cake support stand characterized in that
at least a top edge or tops of the side surfaces of
said sinter cake support stand are provided with a
10 overlay welding part, and
a overlay welding metal which forms said overlay
welding part contains C: 3.0 mass% to 5.0 mass%, Si: 0.8
mass% to 2.0 mass%, Cr: 10 mass% to 15 mass%, and Mo: 7
mass% to 10 mass% and has a balance of Fe and unavoidable
15 impurities.
Claim 2
A sinter cake support stand as set forth in claim 1,
wherein said overlay welding part is formed at a part
20 reduced in thickness by 2 mm to 10 mm from the surface of
at least the top edge or tops of the side surfaces of
said sinter cake support stand.
Claim 3
25 A sinter cake support stand as set forth in claim 1
or 2, wherein said overlay welding part is formed so that
the part of said sinter cake support stand which is
reduced in thickness is eliminated.
30 Claim 4
A sinter cake support stand as set forth in claim 1
or 2, wherein a distance of said overlay welding part
from a peak of said sinter cake support stand is longer
at a back side in a direction of progression of the
35 sintering pallet compared with a front side in the
direction or progression.
