It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
[0003] Online shopping has increased many fold in recent times estimating around 28 percent. 15 Current active e-commerce penetration in India stands only 28 percent, with lots of room for improvement - India's retail e-commerce CAGR is projected to reach 23 percent from 2016 to 2021. Close to 329.1 million people are projected to buy goods and services online in India by 2020.
[0004] When we order any product we always look for the authenticated product or the original 20 product that we have ordered but sometimes we get the wrong product this is because of the presence of some mediator in between who can easily break the seal of the product and change the product or sometimes steal the product. This can be called as man in the middle attack. Sometimes it results in a conflict between the company and the purchaser which further results in a dissatisfaction on both the ends. The online sellers/retailers take ample precautions to ensure 25 safe delivery of purchased goods but still when it comes to delivery process most of the customers are afraid of getting damaged/tempered/changed and forged products.
[0005] There is, therefore, a need to develop a system which can secure the online delivery of purchased items. The present invention provides a smart box that helps trigger an alert message in case of tempering and sends it to the persons at both the ends. 30
