Smart Cloud Based System To Identify And Locate Convalescent Plasma Donors For Serious Covid 19 Patients

Abstract: COVID-2019 is being viewed as a global pandemic. Respiratory problems are caused by the disease. There is no effective vaccine or treatment for emerging viruses like Covid-19. The outbreak of coronavirus in India has disrupted the functioning of life as a whole. For more than a century, when it comes to the prevention and treatment of infectious disease, Convalescent plasma treatment has proven to be a dependable treatment option for decades. However, in the current scenario, finding a convalescent plasma donor is a major challenge in India. The current invention employs a cloud-based approach to locate and notify the donor through the use of GPS and mobile location. The proposed approach provides a reliable method of locating convalescent plasma donors, which is particularly useful in remote rural areas where there are few plasma/blood banks available to meet the needs of the local population. In times of medical emergency, the system allows the requestor to communicate with the plasma donor in a more efficient, faster, and effective manner. Finding the nearest plasma donor increases the patient's chances of survival, especially in rural areas where hospitals and plasma banks are out of reach. People who live in areas where plasma banks are unavailable can use this system in medical emergencies. This technology can even be used in various types of geographical terrains to assist in the saving of human lives.

Specification

The present invention relates to the development of a Smart cloud-based system to identify and locate convalescent plasma donors for serious covid-19 patients.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Medical emergencies can occur at any time and from any location. The COVID-19 disease is wreaking havoc on India, which has the world's second-largest population and is the epicenter of the outbreak. In India, social distancing and lockdown rules were implemented, which hurt the economy, human living conditions, and the environment in addition to the other effects. On January 30, 2020, the first indigenous case of COVID-19 in India was reported in the Thrissur district of Kerala, and the patient was a student at Wuhan University in China. There is currently no effective treatment or vaccine available for the treatment of severe covid-19 cases. Convalescent plasma therapy has been used to treat patients with infections by drawing plasma from patients who have recovered from their illnesses. In India, locating and identifying plasma donors is a significant challenge.
Furthermore, many organizations and convalescent banks associated with hospitals assist patients in need of plasma by supplying them with the convalescent plasma they require as soon as possible. Transporting plasma units from a distant plasma bank to a patient, on the other hand, is always difficult due to distance and unpredictable traffic situations. Following this invention, the cloud-based system makes it easier for Covid-19 hospitals and requesters to find and identify plasma donors quickly rather than contacting distant relatives and friends.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
This summary is provided to introduce a selection of concepts, in a simplified format, that are further described in the detailed description of the invention.
This summary is neither intended to identify key or essential inventive concepts of the invention and nor is it intended for determining the scope of the invention.
To further clarify advantages and features of the present invention, a more particular description of the invention will be rendered by reference to specific embodiments thereof, which is illustrated in the appended drawings. It is appreciated that these drawings depict only typical embodiments of the invention and are therefore not to be considered limiting of its scope. The invention will be described and explained with additional specificity and detail with the accompanying drawings.
When a serious covid-19 patient is fighting to survive, the present invention is directed toward a method and system for identifying convalescent plasma donors in an emergency to save the patient’s life. All stakeholders are registered by using a registration module, which collects the corresponding information about patients, plasma donors, covid-19 hospitals, and Plasma banks. The cloud application is designed in such a way that all the stakeholder details will be verified by incorporating the email system for user verification. Only valid users can use the system.
Later, the method and system correlate the details corresponding to the patient with a list of donors stored in the database utilizing a data matching module based on the location of the patient. The plurality of hospitals is utilized to find blood donors in nearby locations or cities for the patients as per the requirement.
In the proposed model the current Geographical location of the convalescent plasma donor store and updated in the database periodically concerning their unique email and Mobile number. So that at a later stage the information of the donor can be archived by the receiver, plasma donor, and Covid-19 hospitals.
Discloses herein a Smart cloud-based system to identify and locate convalescent plasma donors for serious covid-19 patients comprises GPS or Mobile Network Location to track the location of donors and allows requestors to search for nearby donors based on their actual location at the time of need.
The system provides a reliable method of locating convalescent plasma donors, which is particularly useful in remote rural areas where there are few plasma/blood banks available to meet the needs of the local population.
The donor and requestor are first registered in the cloud-based system; after registering the donor, the system tracks the donor's mobile device's location regularly.
When plasma is required, the requestor can issue a distress call; and the system determines the requestor's location based on his or her current location; the system locates the nearest plasma donors.
The system now notifies the nearest donor about donating convalescent plasma; If the donor is willing to assist, the system will display the route to the donor to reach the Requester's location.
The system allows the requestor to communicate with the plasma donor in a more efficient, faster, and effective manner.
Finding the nearest plasma donor increases the patient's chances of survival, especially in rural areas where hospitals and plasma banks are out of reach.
People who live in areas where plasma banks are unavailable uses this system in medical emergencies; and this technology is used in various types of geographical terrains to assist in the saving of human lives.
Objective of the invention
The primary objective of the present invention is to develop a Smart cloud-based system to identify convalescent plasma donors for serious covid-19 patients.

The preferred best mode of one embodiment of the invention is described below. The present invention relates to the Smart cloud-based system to identify and locate convalescent plasma donors for serious covid-19 patients. This invention uses the cloud computing concept to provide the service to the different stack holders. The system uses GPS or Mobile Network Location to track the location of donors and allows requestors to search for nearby donors based on their actual location at the time of need. Fig 1. Shows the basic concept of the invention. The proposed approach provides a reliable method of locating convalescent plasma donors, which is particularly useful in remote rural areas where there are few plasma/blood banks available to meet the needs of the local population.
The donor and requestor are first registered in the cloud-based system. After registering the donor, the system will track the donor's mobile device's location regularly. When plasma is required, the requestor can issue a distress call. The system will determine the requestor's location based on his or her current location; the system will locate the nearest plasma donors. The system will now notify the nearest donor about donating convalescent plasma. If the donor is willing to assist, the system will display the route to the donor to reach the Requester's location.
Fig2. shows the working model of the proposed system and fig 3 shows the control flow in the proposed system.
