[0003] The population worldwide is growing at an alarming pace and especially so in developing countries. This population explosion obviously creates an increased waste generation not only by humans but also by industries thereby creating an urgent need to monitor collection and disposal. The task is huge to manage the waste in entirety and there is a dire need to be able to monitor if waste is disposed scientifically and managed efficiently to maintain a cleaner environment and society. Besides waste generation there is need to monitor storage of items and thereby monitoring of the contents from time to time for inventory management stored in stand-alone containers.
[0004] Industrial and economic growth has resulted in increased municipal waste. Beside this, population explosion and high-density population in cities are causing more and more solid waste generation day by day and the volume is increasing every year. Current systems of waste collection, transportation, treatment and disposal cannot cope with the increasing volume of waste in urban cities, as a result pollution, sanitation and health is getting affected.
[0005] India generates approximately 133,760 tonnes of municipal waste per day, of which approximately 91,152 tonnes is collected and only 25,884 tonnes is treated. Municipal solid waste (MSW) generation in India per capita per day is approximately 0.17kg in rural or small towns and 0.62kg in urban cities and metro cities. In this condition, solid waste management system needs to be changed and updated more so as to protect the environment and to reduce land use as dump yard.
[0006] Although, there is a need of smart garbage bin which can track the record or fill status, and notify the user through electronic devices bout fill status and geographic location.
[0007] Therefore, the present disclosure overcomes the above-mentioned problem associated with the traditionally available method or system, any of the above-mentioned inventions can be used with the presented disclosed technique with or without modification.
