Smart Guard A Next Gen Home Security Solution With Facial Recognition

Abstract: The present invention is a smart guard - a next-gen home security solution with facial recognition, comprises of a system leverages Internet of Things (IoT) devices such as a plurality of cameras, a plurality of sensors, and a microcontrollers to create a comprehensive security network. The face recognition module, which identifies individuals approaching or entering the premises and upon detection, the system compares the captured face with a pre-registered database of approved individuals thereby, incorporation of owner approval. An unrecognized face is detected, the system sends an alert to the homeowner's smartphone or other authorized devices and the homeowner can then remotely view the visitor through the installed cameras and either grant or deny access via a secure mobile application.

Upon detection, the system compares the captured face with a pre-registered database of approved individuals. What sets the present invention is apart from the incorporation of owner approval. When an unrecognized face is detected, the system sends an alert to the homeowner's smartphone or other authorized devices. The homeowner can then remotely view the visitor through the installed cameras and either grant or deny access via a secure mobile application. Furthermore, the present invention is offers additional layers of security through integration with existing home automation devices.
