Abstract: The idea is to design a “SMART HEALTH SCREENING AND RFID ATTENDANCE SYSTEM” for industries, colleges, schools where a large group of people gather. The need for this system was brought in because during these pandemic times there is also a need to check the temperature of a person before entering and also to look after their health as a precaution. Basically, this system consists of a biometric, temperature checker and blood oxygen and heart rate levels checker which is controlled by a microcontroller (ESP8266). Here, RC522 RFID module is used as a biometric, the people can enter into the respective premises using the RFID cards which will be counted as attendance. The ESP32 camera module is used for the face recognition process. After the successful verification of the two biometric processes, they are allowed to pass to the next stage. The next stage of this system is a temperature checker which will be done by contact less temperature sensor (MLX90614), in order to measure the range for the temperature sensor Ultrasonic Sensor (HC-SR04) is used. If their temperature is normal, they are allowed to go to the next stage, if the temperature is not normal, they are asked to not enter the premises. The last stage of this system is to measure blood oxygen and heart rate levels, to do this pulse oximeter (MAX30100) is used and the readings of the pulse oximeter will be displayed in OLED. Here, we are using IOT to store the data. Usually, the biometric, temperature checking and blood oxygen and heart level checking will happen separately and it also requires manpower to oversee it. But in the case of our system, it brings in all the three stages of biometric together and it also doesn’t require manpower to oversee it.
FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to a system/product which can be used as a security assist by checking the health condition of the people and marking their attendance by using Internet of Things (lot). This product will be used as Attendance and healthcare monitoring systems in academic institutions and other industries where large numbers of people gather around to work. This system reduces the manual process of checking the people’s health and it puts an end to manual attendance marking process which will conserve time.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The existing attendance monitoring systems are in the form of IC-card attendance checking system, Magnetic card attendance checking system, Barcode attendance checking system, Fingerprint recognition attendance checking system and eye rainbow attendance checking systems.
A patent CN102592165A explains the RFID based temperature monitoring system. By using a temperature collecting unit, the temperature is collected and stored in a data storage unit. But in this system, there is a physical contact to measure temperature. In this patent the temperature electronic label is used. These temperatures are not always accurate. The existing model for the health screening and attendance monitoring system is a RFID based Temperature sensor controlled by a microcontroller. This existing system is not a conjoined and a compact system, the parameters which are used to check separated devices and also temperature parameters are not enough to determine one’s health condition.
A patent CN20314972U provides a student attendance system based on face recognition. The student attendance system comprises a pick-up device, a user terminal, a front-end processor and a rear-end management computer, In Which the user terminal is respectively connected with the front-end processor and the rear-end management computer. The front-end processor is respectively connected with the pick-up device and the rear-end management computer. The student attendance system based on face recognition can be used for realizing
the student attendance on the condition of not affecting the normal classes, has a good attendance effectiveness, time-saving and force-saving.
The prior arts discussed monitor the temperature and attendance, however the accuracy and efficiency are still not effectively established. Therefore, there exists a need to design a system and an autonomous process with relatively more accuracy that allows to determine the health condition and attendance of the people entering their respective premises.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Micro controller (100) is the heart of this system. It serves as the decision maker and message transmitter. RFID module (101) used to verify whether the person has the authorized id or not. The ESP camera module (102) acts as an additional security system. After the authorization check, the pulse oximeter (103) and temperature sensor (105) serves as a health monitoring system and the details will be passed to the concerned authority via microcontroller (100). Here, an ultrasonic sensor (104) is placed to ensure the temperature of the person and is measured for a correct distance so that the temperature measured will be accurate and ensures that no direct contact is made on the sensor. Hence, a hygienic environment can be maintained. There is an OLED module (105) which will be useful in displaying the health parameters to the concerned person.

The following summary is provided to facilitate a clear understanding of the new features in the disclosed embodiment. A detailed description of the aspects of the disclosed invention can be understood by reviewing the full specification, the drawing, the claims and the abstract, as a whole.
The aspect of this invention is to screen the health of the people and monitor their presence before permitting them to their respective premises, making it easy to acquire health and attendance of the people and reduce the manual process.
To advance the existing systems and to monitor attendance in an efficient manner, the Radio Frequency Attendance monitoring system along with face recognition is used. The RFID readers will send the data to the google sheet or
any other database once it is read by the RFID tag. The data from the face recognition are also noted simultaneously. This system works in two phases. The first phase ensures whether only the authorized person enters or not. In the second phase, the health condition of the people is checked. In most of the workplaces, industries, schools or any other premises, where a large number of people gather, monitoring the attendance is a tough challenge. Entry will be allowed only if a person clears both the security phases. This ensures only the authorized people with good health enter the respective campuses.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In places where a small number of people gather, the attendance can be monitored manually. In those industries where a large number of people gather, the foremost option of monitoring attendance is automated and cloud based so that the data can be accessed. The temperature monitoring system should be contactless so that we can avoid physical contact while screening the employees. The RFID system along with facial recognition method is chosen because of its advantage over other attendance monitoring systems. The process in the RFID system is far better than the previously used systems. All the details are recorded and the alert messages will be sent to the authority and necessary actions will be taken.
The objective of our invention is to eliminate the manual process involved in attendance and improve health monitoring in the areas where a large number of people gather around like schools, industries with the help of RFID modules, ESP 32 camera, pulse oximeter and temperature sensors. With this system, any institution can monitor the attendance of the employees or students and allow only the authorized people with good health into the institution which ensures healthy and secure working environment from the employees as well as prevents the spread of epidemic diseases.
In this concern, we have to monitor the blood oxygen levels and pulse rate of the people entering the premises and it is done using Pulse Oximeter sensor. Here,the pulse oximeter we use is MAX30100.To monitor the body temperature we use the temperature sensor MLX90614 which is a contactless temperature sensor.The major objective to embed contactless temperature sensor instead of normal temperature sensors is to eliminate the probable infection spread through physical contact.
The RFID module along with facial recognition process is a two factor authentication security system.The data that are. gathered from the security system about a specific person are stored in a cloud and the data can be accessed by the concerned authority . According to the embodiment of this present invention, the data of the pulse oximeter and temperature sensors are stored in the google sheet, Internet of Things(IoT) provides an effective platform to interconnect all the resources, so that the data can be filed and kept accessible.
In the first place, the RFID module are installed in the premises to read the RFID tags of the people entering to mark their attendance by RFID readers which are connected to the cloud virtually.The face recognition module helps us ensures that the right person has come up with his RFID tags.If a person passes both the verification process,then the person will undergo a basic health check up which is the second phase in this embedded system.
The health check consists of a body temperature monitoring phase and a pulse rate check.Body temperature is the basic indicator for the virus infection and thus with the data provided ,the health condition of the person will be analysed.Further,the pulse oximeter will provide the pulse rate and blood oxygen level .Tthe The data measured by the pulse oximeter and temperature sensors are casted in the OLED Display then and there. The main goal of the OLED display is to inform every individual who undergoes medical screening about their health and to notify them so that the appropriate therapy may be done as soon as feasible.The information of the people entering the premises are recorded, monitored and stored in the cloud to provide easy access later via ESP32. So we can calculate the duration of working of the people in their premises.
Here,if the security phase is not cleared,the person will be not allowed to enter into the premises and a security alert will be given to the concerned person.I the person passes the security test but fails the health check up,a health alert will be conveyed through message to both the concerned person and the management.
