“Smart Helmet In Construction Site By Using Internet Of Things (Iot)”

Abstract: A system and method for smart helmet in construction site helmet by using internet of things (IoT) technology is disclosed. The smart helmet application is installed at backend server. At very initial stage, each and every helmet is attached to IoT enabled tag. Number of sensors are installed at construction site to form network which cover all construction site in under network. When accident happen, the supervisor can trace how many workers are present at accidental area and also all the information about them.

1) The smart helmet in construction site by using Internet of Things (IoT) comprising of;
a. Backend server – storing data from sensors and smart helmet application is installed
b. Sensors – senses worker location and send data to server
2) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, the number of sensors is arranging in such a way to form network area which covers the whole construction site.
3) The system claimed in claim1 wherein, sensors sense location of each and every worker.
4) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, can predicate the intensity of accident.
, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for smart helmet in construction site using Internet of Things (IoT). The present invention relates generally to helmet technology of construction industry.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The main purpose of helmet is to protect the head during any injury. It is very common for individuals to wear helmet when they are, for example, riding bicycles, riding horses, roller-blading, playing football, playing baseball, playing hockey, Skiing and Skating, as well as for other general safety purposes. Helmets are now routine wearable generally used in day to day life of human beings.
The main function of helmet is to protect the persons head from an injury that may be sustained while engaged in work, sports and other activities. Moreover, as outdoor activities, have increased in popularity, the need emerged for even more specialized helmets.
In Construction sector, occupational injuries are global issues. The construction industry is a hazardous sector in which these accidents frequently occur. If helmet provide more security to worker then it is really helpful to construction team. But right now, there is no such system which ensures safety of helmet.
Currently there is no such system, which can tell supervisor where any worker is in danger area or accident-prone area.
The present invention solves the above problem with the help of helmet using Internet of Things (IoT) technology.
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of connected devices embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and so on which enable these objects to collect and exchange data.
The concept of IoT has many applications depending on the physical devices that are connected and one of the most remarkable applications of IoT in construction sector is tracking the location of worker.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is that, the system and method for smart helmet in construction site using Internet of Things (IoT).
Another object of the invention is that, easy tracking of worker.
Other object of the invention is that, supervisor can track accident of any worker.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method of smart helmet in construction using Internet of Things (IoT). At very initial stage each and every helmet has attached unique tag which is IoT enabled. The record is maintained about which helmet belong to which worker. So, if any accident happened, then supervisor can check how much worker are present at accident site. And data of each worker who is present at accidental area.

Fig 1 shows flowchart of the method and computer program for this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method of smart helmet in construction site with the help of helmet by using Internet of Things (IoT).
Internet of Things (IoT) has many applications depending on the physical devices that are connected and one of the most remarkable applications of IoT in construction is smart helmet.
The method and system of smart helmet in construction site by using Internet of Things (IoT) is comprising of:
Backend server – the smart helmet application is installed
Sensors – sense the helmet tag which are in range of particular sensor
The number of sensors is installed at construction site in a such way that it will cover all the construction site in the network of Internet of Things (IoT).
The smart helmet in construction site by using Internet of Things (IoT) can work as following:
Step 1) The smart helmet application is installed at backend server.
Step 2) Every helmet from construction site is attached with internet of things (IoT) enabled tag with unique id and camera.
Step 3) The number of sensors is installed at various places of construction site in a such way to form a network area which covers all construction site.
Step 4) Supervisor can trace at any accident area, how many workers and information about all workers who are present at accidental area.
This is the basic model of smart helmet in construction. And scope of invention is not limited to this only.
The smart helmet in construction site by using Internet of Things (IoT) has some advantages such as:
Easy tracking of work – As tag sense the location of worker, it is easy to know supervisor where the worker is present at accidental area at the time of accident or not.
Time saver – As the invention track each and every worker, construction supervisor can supervise the worker with no roaming here and there. Which saves time and effort of supervisor.
With the help of invention, construction supervisor makes sure that no worker should be at any area where they should not be. Also, the various sensors installed in the helmet constantly send out real time signals to the monitor.
It will notify the worker if there is any hazardous gas leaking or any unthinkable activities. The main purpose of this study is implementing a robust smart sensor is to activate an advanced warning device and automatic equipment control to prevent collision accidents from workers in hazardous positions.
It gives quick alert to supervisor when the accident happened so he can take immediate action as per requirement.
