Furthermore, the present invention aims to reach out to younger generations at schools to help them better appreciate rich history and culture in an engaging way. Figure 1
DESC:FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention generally relates to a system enhanced heritage and cultural tourism experience. More specifically, the present invention is related to an XR, Geo Spatial and Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled system for enhanced heritage and cultural tourism, promoting the tangible and intangible heritage of a region/s and also facilitate new age experiential learning experiences on the culture & heritage of a region/s for the academia.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The subject matter discussed in the background section should not be assumed to be prior art merely as a result of its mention in the background section. Similarly, a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section should not be assumed to have been previously recognized in the prior art. The subject matter in the background section merely represents different approaches, which in and of themselves may also correspond to implementations of the claimed technology.
A few heritage sites have traditional hardware-based audio guides, which are limited in number and do not compare to the average footfall of tourists they intend to cater to, and therefore not scalable. Furthermore, most audio app based guides for heritage sites available in the market cater to a niche audience based on the complexity of language that they use for curating the content, and their content design and coverage also requires more to be done to make them more engaging and immersive for users. Despite huge footfall of tourists, the tourism dollars are not reaching the host communities of a region and their local businesses. Further, monuments and heritage sites have evolved merely as asocial media photo opportunity, or picnic spots for younger generations where the knowledge dissemination and learning for their heritage and culture is below par at school.
The prior art KR102346137B1 discusses about inclusion and promotion of local business in its specification and also solves the tourism related issues like the mobility issues and travel restrictions as during the covid-19 pandemic, but remains mute on offline content consumption of heritage sites, cultural circuits and museums. The application also remains mute on dynamic calendar events of a region and nearby points of interest (hidden gems) diagnosed by GPS. Further, the education related features are also not disclosed in the prior art. Furthermore, the prior art remains mute on the language translation and an intelligent itinerary builder and a curated ecommerce platform in the AR tour guide.
Another prior art KR102323880B1 remains mute on the involvement and promotion of local community businesses geo-tagged for users enroute a geo-location enabled cultural trail and a curated platform for local communities ‘culture haat’ and does not address the problem of tourism dollars not reaching the host community. The prior art also remains mute on the co-creation partnership model with local business partners which comes under the feature of inclusion of host communities and local businesses of the present invention. The prior art remains totally mute on the educational aspects dealing with inclusion of younger generation at schools and colleges.
Further, prior art KR102198280B1 has described about educational aspects and features but remains mute on the features related to vernacular languages, use of AR/VR/MR for solving mobility issues and remote exploration of heritage sites. The inclusion and preservation of local business and upliftment of host communities and local culture and heritage does not give an effective outcome.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
A general object of the present invention is to ensure accurate interpretation of information to be delivered on mobile phones and other devices, including wearables in vernacular languages.
Another object of the present disclosure is to use AR/VR/MR along with multimedia to help visitors with ‘Mobility issues’ in getting complete experiences at the monuments, heritage sites (natural and cultural), museums, etc.
Yet another object of present invention is to digitally interpret and adopt a new age technology to explore a Heritage, Cultural and Natural Sites and Museums from a remote location.
Yet another object of the present invention is to ensure reach of tourism dollars to host community and local small businesses and support them in their livelihoods as well as to promote and therefore preserve the tangible and intangible heritage of a region/s.
Yet another object of present invention is to perspective is to reduce load on existing popular tourist destinations and open up new trails on the platform.
Still another object of the present disclosure is to reach out to younger generations at schools and colleges to help them better appreciate rich history and culture in an engaging way and also to help them build similar experiences on their own on the platform.
Still another object of the present disclosure is to promote partner based SAAS module (B2B), where the partner businesses from the ecosystem can push specific ads and information of their products, services and experiences to app users based on User preferences.
Still another object of the present disclosure is to develop an Intelligent Itinerary Builder module recommended to users based on their preference which uses one or more smart algorithms.
An exemplary object of present invention is to evolve a Geo-spatial, AI and XR enabled Culture and Heritage based e-commerce platform.
Another object of the present disclosure is to develop a Heritage Interpretation layer for automobile and other modes of navigation platforms.
